    One thing we will have is a big soil temp issue in regard to any accumulation. That will cut those model numbers down a lot. We would need some solid rates to overcome that.

    Meanwhile I shot these on Christmas Day last year in Banner Elk. We drove up there for a white Christmas since we couldn't see family.

    I don't want to post his photos without permission but if you look up Dan Whittaker on Facebook you will find shots he got last night. The fire made it to the knob/summit area and is now in excess of 300 acres and growing.

    Not what thread to put this in but Pilot Mountain is in the midst of a 250 acre and growing wildfire.
