    We are in Lake Placid and it is interesting this year. The Cascade Mountain area has almost no change by the lakes (very late) but it is closing in on peak around Heart Lake as expected.

    Well it looks like rain is going to be a problem for tomorrow on day 1 of our trip in the ADKs. Hopefully it is more showers than steady as it can enhance color.

    Nice. We plan on going through there on Sunday I think.

    From everything I am seeing, it looks like my tripped is reasonably well timed. Lake Placid is supposed to be at 80% or this weekend so that is nice.

    Looks like we plan on being in the ADK's on the 2nd (Hopefully catching peak in the Lake Placid area although I wonder if that will actually be late this year) then over to VT. in VT I want to hit Nichols Pond and the Groton State Forest and of course Smuggler's Notch.

    Look for the Aurora tonight. Could be a G2 storm.

    Hopefully my choice for Oct 1st through the 10th was a good one to come up. When I lived there it usually was the time. Good to see things seem on track.

    It will be TD13 for the 5pm advisory.

    Can't wait to get up there for a visit for the first week of October. I know it is always a gamble when the foliage will peak but I also know more often than not the second week can be too late in northern VT.

    The eye looks almost better on recent radar frames. It is moving due north for sure with an occasional NNE wobble. Going to be VERY close for NOLA proper. Going to be a rough ride for sure in Kenner.
