    Even the NC Mountains cashed in on the upslope with highs in the single digits and lows of -5F to -10F above 3500ft. Some air and ground shots I grabbed while up there.

    Which is why I went to the NC Mountains today where it was in the single digits (3F on Beech Mountain) and after a second upslope event with 20:1 ratios they had 18+ inches on the summit. Banner Elk had around 10 inches or so. Drifting made it hard to gauge exact numbers. A few aerials from the day trip.

    Believe me I didn't want to. I spent quite a few hours taking pictures and enjoying it but I have obligations at home as well. It was awesome though for sure.

    Considering most are closing in on futility records in terms of days without snow I would think so.

    Well we have managed to have another dumpster fire of a winter as of the time of this post for 2023-2024 so here is to looking well ahead when it may be over 1000 days for some since the last 1 inch or greater of snowfall.
