These were taken near the intersection of Leesville Rd. and Lynn Rd. in north Raleigh as a tornado warned supercell embedded within a line came through. If a tornado was present it would have been wrapped in the rain shaft you see in the second shot. The first shot shows more of the overall structure and the base of the storm (taken at 12:14pm). The last shot is my position at the time compared to the radar image (Taken at 12:17pm). There was some localized tree damage the intersection of Leesville Rd and Millbrook road that was not present in areas surrounding. If it was from a tornado it would likely be EF-0 damage.

yeah they are warning any kink in the line as something can spinup real quick.

Enhanced Risk for severe tomorrow for winds (some gusts 75 or greater).

and that is how March rolls around here for sure.

Could be a legit signal.

Lock it in!

It is looking pretty clear that winter is about over outside the mountains. Probably time to start thinking about severe weather.

the 19th/20th event saved it for us but certainly I know for many in the forum it was a lot of disappointing close calls with little results. I definitely feel for them. If anyone wants a snow chase, there may be some mountain upslope chances in the next week or so.

I put together this video from my footage of the storm:

The upper left is a fantastic shot!

Phase 1 can mean a better snow chance along with cold and that looks to be in the first week of March. The models have been signaling a remote possibility but I do mean remote for now.

This was in Rolesville, NC

Definitely accurate from what I saw for sure

oh it will all be gone except for a few shady spots in a matter of a couple of hours.

Well I have to say we got the monkey off our back and it was a nice storm! I am hoping those who missed out get in on something in early March.
