We had about a half inch at home but I of course had to chase once more during the day and did so between Red Oak and Wylliesburg, VA. I was there in time for the real heavy band which was awesome. Here is some of what I captured:

Yep Raleigh downtown and east definitely did better than the airport. I wish there was a downtown climo station.

Looks like it is now rotting out but ended up with 0.3 or so here.

IF you look at the radar this band is building NE to SW generally. I almost wonder if Kerr Lake is involved.

Best rates so far right now and roads are icing up. It is not alot but we are on the board for sure.

I chased again today to areas just south of Keysville. I can only imagine what accumulations would have been had it been a night hit but that was a solid band for awhile..

Yeah they should do alright. For us, three trace events by early December will hopefully bode well for a measurable event to come.

Coming back to cut off for any dusting on the grass or car tops is Northern Oxford .

They heaviest banding has been south of the warning where I am

It is hard to call an amount here. I am at Wylliesbirg and will start heading home soon.on the coldest surfaces there is 2-3 inches.

Visibility down to a half mile in Clarksville, Virginia. Probably a half inch on the ground so far.

I am not sure yet where I will be able to get to today due to work. At the very least I will get to the border area. I do expect Raleigh will pretty much zero out on this one as well.

The snow hits behind the front so what is happening ahead of it is not as important. Most areas probably will start as some rain before changing over. The previous event was WAA this one is more anafrontal with cold air feeding in (Cold Air Advection).
