  1. yeah and then it evaporated lol. I think we are getting the record.
  2. Raleigh zeroed out on this little snow event (Streak will approach the record looking at the models). I did however capture this near the Lee/Moore County line outside of Cameron, NC: https://fb.watch/weKgVBcDsF/
  3. Congrats! That is a nice little treat! The RDU streak will close in on the record soon as there is nothing on the horizon for now. Best I could do is: https://fb.watch/weKgVBcDsF/
  4. I am in it near US1 outside of Cameron in Moore County
  5. The trajectory does look good for the Triangle for now.
  6. some of the radar trends I am seeing may support this as well.
  7. Honestly I am having second thoughts because it would mean an all nighter lol.
  8. Yeah I think I am going to head off for Albermarle tonight
  9. NAM and HRRR pretty much agree with it being centered on Albermarle or so. I am debating if it is worthwhile to head that way for such a minor event. The intriguing thing is a meso low could form to the south of that region which could enhance things a bit if that is true.
  10. Right now the forecast low is 30F for Friday which is one day past the old record I think.
  11. 12z GFS still trying for around December 5th but definitely still fantasy range.
  12. We failed to make it down to freezing in Raleigh so it does look like that record will fall.
  13. Yeah I am seeing it on the webcams and it is ok I know this isn't the only chance up there. It looks like the wind would have prevented any chance of good aerial shots with this one anyway.
  14. Unfortunately some things came up and I couldn't go up today but enjoy!
  15. My plan is to get to Beech around 8 or 9am and of course get some shots and enjoy for bit.
  16. My plan was to go through Boone to 105 and through Sugar Mountain/Banner Elk to Beech.
  17. The good news is they get snow more frequently than the once every 3 or 4 years we are at now.
  18. I assume I can drive to Beech Mountain without interfering with any Helene relief operations and/or recovery efforts. I am guessing they would be good for 4-6 or so.
  19. I am debating is this worth a chase for me on Friday.
  20. Way too late for the Mountains at this point. They are pretty much in stick season up there. As for out here in the Raleigh area it was a bad year due to an extended dry stretch. There was some color but a lot of early leaf drop with some trees just browning out. We have a second wave of color happening now with any trees that have remaining leaves.
