The models just failed horribly within hours of this event. I am not about to get on board with a 200 hour storm signal.

Euro and GFS this morning both on board for central NC. 10:1 is actually higher than what Kuchera ratios are indicating. If you blend the 2 you would see about 1-2 in Raleigh.

The Euro doesn't see a neutral or negative tilt and is later with the energy hence the weaker and southeast solution.

BL Temps will be a significant issue as of now that is very concerning to me and of course with a daytime hit on top of that it may be hard to get it to stick for some. We shall see.

The other interesting part of this is if we do get snow it doesn't warm up immediately after and may stay cold enough to keep it on the ground a little longer.

Right now I think it is very plausible we see something out of this but I will caution that the warm nose almost always overpeforms and makes it farther inland than modeled. The pattern looks like it will be there but as always we live and die by the warm nose.
