    Wonder what the navy base in San Diego is thinking right now.

    The terrain and soil types in the SW are not conducive for absorbing this much rainfall in such a short amount of times. Many locations are about to receive a year's worth of precipitation in under 72 hours.

    @olafminesaw I would posit that would be beneficial. Dilution of surface water and recharging of groundwater. To be honest, I'm quick excited to see how this would play out. Imagine if we somehow saw this happen maybe once or twice a decade in the future due to climate change, etc.

    Maryland mesonet website should be up in a few weeks. Our eastern shore land use agreeements were signed last week. Shovels go in the ground soon!
