  1. Hope we can continue this for a few more days. Fronts stalled north to south can be really beneficial here.
  2. Special event contingency planning is the bane for local emergency management. Concert organizers refuse to engage and go off into left field in the name of profit. That's not to say that we should bubble wrap everything and cancel at the drop of a shower, but I agree that this appears to be a complete cluster.
  3. M0.18" today, M0.83" yesterday. Lawns aren't corn chex crispy anymore.
  4. Looks like that activity south of DC was enhanced by the outflow boundary from the initial activity over DC. I wouldn't be surprised to see it collapse over the next hour.
  5. LWX starting to issue Flash Flood Warnings.
  6. 19z HRRR should be interesting. By then it should be able to have this activity ingested and modeled better.
  7. WPC meso disco: https://www.wpc.ncep.noaa.gov/metwatch/metwatch_mpd_multi.php?md=1046&yr=2023
  8. SPC issues SEVERE TSTM WATCH until 11pm
  9. M0.83" overnight. RSTM2 COOP station in Reisterstown.
  10. Decent wind signature on the Howard County cell. Might see that warned shortly.
  11. You always want to be on the inflow side of the boundaries. That's where the magic happens.
  12. That one cell in Loudoun County verified the entire watch box on its own.
  13. Several boundaries about to meet up (bay breeze, outflow from NOVA storms, first boundary along NW suburbs) over Montgomery or Howard county. Will be interesting to see if this kicks anything off.
