  1. Latest Euro monthlies look pretty zonal with a lot of Pacific puke to be honest.
  2. It's an old site on Towson's campus that's being revamped.
  3. For those interested, here is a public facing GIS dashboard of the Maryland Mesonet sites. Expect updates as site selection is finalized and land use agreements are signed. A more complete website is being coded and will be available later this autumn. https://gis.menv.com/portal/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/cbd2b3566be0409da116ecfe8fb22739
  4. We're bleeding in the wrong direction and fast. Classic Mid Atlantic.
  5. Probably a lot of mixed bag events this year. The upside is we won't be dry as a bone in the boreal forests of Canada. Should mitigate the wildfire risk next spring.
  6. Really need dry weather from Oct 9th to 27th. We are pouring concrete for our first set of mesonet stations and rain will muck everything up.
  7. I need dry weather through Oct 27th. We are pouring concrete for the first set of mesonet stations and wet ground will delay everything.
  8. Interesting, time sensitive visible satellite right now across the region. The NW edge of the cloud shield appears to be running along MD 27.
  9. Pleasantly surprised as the sun winning out up here in Emmitsburg.
  10. Need someone to talk me off the cliff of this being a raging east based El Nino with sustained -PDO this winter.

  13. My wife is going bonkers with no sun since last Saturday. Really hope we can manage a few hours of sun today.
  14. Good lord what a terrible clickbait article.
  15. Hopefully we can get a white Christmas this year. Something like 5" - 10" that starts Christmas eve.
  16. How many successful hatches have you had this year?
  17. It's both. Climavision had a great presentation at the New York mesonet. They're planning to fill most of the existing NEXRAD gaps as part of an agreement with NOAA/NSSL. Personally, I'm glad. This is a great way to provide operational data to NWS and fill longstanding gaps.
  18. Need to get a climavision radar in Cumberland or Deep Creek.
  19. Eric Webb really hammering the East based El Nino hard on Twitter. Then again, he lived in the desert southwest.
  20. From your mouth to God's ear. Just let it snow on the weekend only so I don't have to sit in a windowless operations center watching snow melt on roads.
