  1. It seems the storms are getting a bit of a boost from the mountains, then immediately dying off once they get on the lee side. With nighttime setting in, any remnant instability will likely wane quickly.
  2. Looks like I-66 south may be getting a Tornado Watch shortly per latest mesoscale disco.
  3. That warned cell west of Front Royal looks legit. Seems like it "wants" to maintain itself.
  4. Line honestly looks paltry right now for some good rains. Would trade the severe threat for the chance of a good half inch of rain.
  5. Heard the spring peepers are the barn for the first time this year.
  6. Storm near Moorefield, WV looks like it could do it.
  7. Not enough sun east of I-81 for anything to get going it seems. Would just take a good hour of a soaking rain at this point.
  8. A significant portion of WxTwitter. Already screaming at SPC et. Not trying to clog this thread with OT posts, but it's pretty bad.
  9. All those bust calls seem really silly now. Low level jet is cranking and things are, unfortunately, unfolding as forecast.
  10. Debris ball evident on radar near Winterboro, AL. Seeing a lot of reports in the Birmingham area suggesting one or more significant tornadoes has occurred.
  11. WxTwitter is doing the same thing. Just unreal.
  12. Looks like the line is going rather discrete. Four big cells starting to flex in Mississippi.
  13. That cell west of Columbia, MS is impressive. Huge CC drop and tight velocity couplet.
  14. Yea. Big disclaimer between today and April 26-27, 2011 event is that day had an early morning MCS roll through that wrecked the power infrastructure. That significant reduced the capability to warn residents of the afternoon activity, and hampered damage assessment operations.
  15. Quick view through IEMBot shows the two April 2011 outbreaks.
