  1. Between the late spring freezes and incessant summer rains, Maryland has come close to qualifying for a Federal disaster for crop loss several times since 2016.
  2. Our roses are leafing out, they are about the size of quarters. The lack of cold night is going to ruin them when we get a rogue cold snap in March.
  3. Don't worry. when May comes around we'll have tons of lows bombing off the coast with rain in the 50s.
  4. 6 tornadoes yesterday, 5 of which were in MD. I believe the longterm average is 10 tornadoes per year in Maryland.
  5. Pole barn blown apart in Caroline County approx. 9:55 am on MD -328 near Fisher Rd.
  6. The Frederick County Tornado Zone™ is for real. That corridor along Adamstown -> New Market is like a magnet.
  7. M67 wnd gst in Millers, Carroll County.
  8. Weird how there was a pity 5% meso then we get an event that would've at least easily verified a watch box. Strengthening lows that go sub-1000mb as they cross out area always seem to produce some interesting results.
  9. RE: Leesburg damage. You can check out the Town of Leesburg and Leesburg PD Facebook pages. they are posting more detailed damage information there.
  10. Yes, Rt 28 corridor in western Montgomery is closed.
  11. Damage coming out of the Mt. Airy area as well. Impressive stuff.
  12. If anyone has damage reports from their neighborhood in Montgomery County please let me know.
  13. Several utility poles snapped off at the ground on MD 28 near Martinsburg Rd. Also a tree on an occupied car on Rt 109 near Frederick Rd.
  14. That was a legit couplet that moved through your area.
  15. The old Green Valley -> New Market tornado alley in full effect today. Legit couplet.
  16. Starting to get damage reports in western Montgomery County.
  17. The little blob in North Potomac getting that kidney bean shape as well. Bit is a signature trying to pop on the SRM 0.5° angle too. Looks pretty good on the TBWI/TIAD as well.
  18. If this were a snowstorm this would crash the board. Expecting over 18" of snow to realize the day before you'll be lucky to verify a warning level event.
  19. If we somehow manage a big fluke event like that, I hope it's pure cement.
  20. 00z Euro gets the low through Pittsburgh around 989mb...with +20 temp anomaly at 850 [thanks to a jet of nearly 65 kts]. It also significantly backed off on the rainfall (shocker) only about 2" regionwide.
