Temp down the 37 in Reisterstown. Rain really picking up now.

Per DOT cams, snow appears to be mixing in in Westminster at the MD 140 / MD 95 split just south of the airport.

Based off DOT cams, snow appears to be accumulating on US 40 at the Frederick/Washington County line in non=paved surfaces. An hour ago, it was all rain.

Westminster now reporting Unknown precip and the visibility is down to 1 1/4 mile.

Cams showing snow reaching the valley floors west of Smithsburg. HGR should be reporting the changeover shortly.

@mappy the MD30 cam at the PA Line shows more snow mixing in. I think you should start mixing in the next hour.

MD511 cam US-15 at MD 140 has big snowflakes mixing in.

The MD511 cam on Rt. 30 at the PA line is showing some flakes mixing in every now and then.

I could see a few 15"+ reports in the Catoctins Mts. @catoctin wx definitely should move to Thurmont.

Not sure if you saw, but those were 6 HR maps, not storm total. Your 2" - 4" is still looking good.

For today, the northern crew should be watching the Camp David and Westminster ASOS's. Camp David will be the first to report the changeover (they're down to 34 degrees now) which means the freezing level is dropping wholesale. If/when Westminster flips then the Pikesville/Hunt Valley crew should be about an hour behind that.
