  1. Thundersnow being reported in PA as the energy on the backside comes wrapping in.
  2. Yea that's definitely the mix line working back east on the 0.5° CC. I like our chances on the back end, at least north of I-70.
  3. Was just about to post that. It does look like there's a change back to snow trying to occur. Also that's right where the leading edge of the 850/925 temps go back below freezing.
  4. This is good to see. I just hit 30 degrees in Reisterstown and I have mostly ZR with a few pingers mixing in if the precip steps up the intensity.
  5. We never had a closed 850 low to cut off the flood of Altantic air.
  6. Starting to get transformer/wires calls in the area. Power bliped for a hot second. 0.1" zr.
  7. Don't look now, but SPC mesoanalysis has the surface low at 1000mb off the mouth of Chesapeake, well east of any of the warmer NAMs, eta.
  8. I'm liking our chances on the backside forumwide. That stuff over RNK's area is looking nice.
  9. Would love a quick 2" - 4" on the backside then temps drop.
  10. Camp David (KRSP), and Martinsburg (KMRB) reporting +SN and 1/4 mi visibility.
  11. Yup. I know it's only a matter of an hour at most, but this is amazing. Since moving back to Maryland in August 2016, the most snow I've seen is 5" in one event.
  12. You're in it dude. I'm gonna flip in the next hour or two probably but man it's like a snow globe here. 27/25
  13. Just wait until the stuff over I-795 gets your way...it's insane. I know I'm gonna flip but man this is crazy.
  14. This band is sick. I might push 4" before the flip.
  15. This band along I-795 is sick. I'm gonna top at least 3" before any flip.
  16. For perspective, the average December snowfall at IAD, DCA, and BWI is: 3.5", 3.0", and 2.3" respectively. A lot of folks are going to get their December average snowfall in under 6 hours and there's still two weeks left in the month.
  17. Good. So long as we don't lose below 925mb, I'm cool. Lets go for a sleet bomb!
  18. Sterling WFO is releasing a special 18z balloon. It'll be worth checking when it's posted on SPC's page, especially for the lower Susquehanna Valley crew that's worried about mixing.
  19. It's snowing a solid clip in Reisterstown. So long as it's not washed away this evening I'll be happy. Snow on Christmas decorations is like double secret bonus snow.
