    It's really a detriment to the weather enterprise how some broadcast mets just chug and plug raw model output. The public doesn't know how to differentiate one model from another and just thinks the entire profession is a fraud.

    La Nina, so maybe we get a decent round or two this spring. Looking at our region's climatology, we're due for a derecho and a non-tropical tornado outbreak in these parts.

    46 with some pretty thick fog in Reisterstown. HRRR seems to be running too warm.

    Yup. If we don't win on this event, then it's probably game over for the winter. After that it's sun angle season.

    My threshold is always 0.3" ice. After that things get interesting. Not confident we see that down here but mappy and the true northern folks might.
