  1. Anyone west of Front Royal seeing precip from those heavier returns?
  2. Folks, tomorrow is the anniversary of the big dog, the Blizzard of 1996. We honor that event with a significant east snow. Here's throwback Local on the 8s music from January 1996. https://twcclassics.com/audio/years-1996.html It's going to look like real winter. Yippee!!
  3. Watching it now. Sick 700-850 frontogenesis. Someone is going to get a solid snowstorm.
  4. Can't quote your post for some reason, but @wxmeddler, that's a beautiful view.
  5. He's too humble to admit this, but @wxmeddler deserves a metric ton of credit for getting the Clarksville mesonet's snow depth sensor fixed today. Snow weenies owe him a beer!
  6. Per Maryland Mesonet, Garrett and Allegany county stations are showing a spike in relative humidity. Looks like it's close to snowing out there.
  7. 18z GFS is a class big dog KU event. Just wow!
  8. What a beautiful area. Snow in the mountains is the best. Enjoy!
  9. I'm so excited about this especially. It's been years since there was snow on my lights!
  10. Never bet against Parr's Ridge.
  11. Based off Charleston, WV radar and surface observations (mPING and mesonet/AWOS/ASOS), the northern edge of the snow shield will probably make it up to the PA Turnpike. Looks good for the northern folks.
  12. First returns to the SW on Sterling radar.
  13. Sky went from sunny to pure cirrus over the past 30 min.
  14. Based off mPING reports snow starts quickly after returns move overhead.
  15. Precip approaching WV/KY border. Cirrus faintly visible to my west.
  16. Your daughter needs to understand that sacrifices must be made.
  17. Maryland Mesonet two and four inch soil temps have cooled significantly into the low to mid 30s. Whatever falls will accumulate quick.
  18. Looks like Euro ticked the front end CAD better too. All good things as we close.
  19. Always love the Ferrier output. Would rather underforecast snow than overforecast.
  20. Snow weenie dreams are made of things like this. Just wow.
  21. Dewpoints in the single digits all the way down into the southern Carolinas. As @mitchnicksaid, it's great to have a solid antecedent airmass this time.
  22. Winter Storm Watches extended just to our north by CTP for the Mason-Dixon counties.
  23. I could see CTP nudging the Mason-Dixon counties into an advisory then maybe a late upgrade if things go well up there.
