  1. I'll give credit to the HRRR, it was consistent with this 2nd line and did place a UHI track across S. MD for the past few runs.
  2. TOR being issued for PG/Calvert. WISC CIMMS probs jumped to 17% chance of TOR on that.
  3. Okay this is my fault. Cached version of website didn't update. See it now. Deleted my post.
  4. SPC mesoanalysis shows belt of 40-60kt shear from I-66 down to CHO coinciding with SBCAPE recovering. Wouldn't shock me if we get a lower end severe thunderstorm watch later today. I'm back up to 71 degrees again at home so we are recovering this airmass somewhat even up in Baltimore.
  5. We have a decent amount of shear and low level moisture so the wet microburst potential is still there.
  6. There ya go. Unlikely we ever see one of those around here.
  7. IIRC, the destructive tag is golf ball sized hail or 80 mph winds
  8. LWX starting to process LSRs and it seems like something may have touched down in Fairfax County, possibly Calvert County too.
  9. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings do not trigger Wireless Emergency Alerts unless the SVR is tagged for 'Destructive': https://www.foxweather.com/extreme-weather/destructive-thunderstorm-alerts-what-they-are-and-why-the-nws-issues-them
  10. Unless SPC is seeing something that we aren't, I think we're primed for Round #2...perhaps even one that surpasses this morning's activity in some areas.
  11. SPC issues Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 23:00 UTC. https://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/watch/ww0278.html
