I'm more optimistic about this winter than I was back in September. It looks like we can probably make some hay through the end of December. Probably one of those "near normal snowfall / slightly above normal temp" winters.
Damn right. Never underestimate these setups in PA. You radiated all last night under a fresh, dry airmass and clouds thickened up right at sunrise. Add to the fact that WAA snow waits for no man, and you've got the Eskimo Express of 2018.
I'm bullish that Mason-Dixon gets a brief thump this evening. Take a look at the Camp David and Site R ASOS...the Td is below 25 degrees at both sites. Definitely some cold, dry air just off the deck that should help the higher elevations if the prdcip can get in here quick enough.
