    I'm right to the north of that cell developing over Staten Island/Raritan Bay. Heard a few rumbles of thunder.

    Honestly third time in the last 2 weeks I saw dark clouds with a developing storm that is right across the Kill Van Kull over Carteret.

    Just saw a nice lightning bolt that had to hit in Carteret NJ.

    I'm on the edge of the rain, but seeing plenty of ctg lightning bolts.

    I am on the other side of that cell and can confirm some loud thunder.

    There have been whale and dolphin sightings in Raritan Bay as well. My parents have gone out on their boat regularly to go whale watching.

    driving down the west shore expressway to the Outerbridge and it looked more like 10:30 rather than 6:30. Torrential rains now.

    Nice lightning show looking out to my west and some wind gusts. Still reading 86 on the weather station, but I expect that to drop in the next 20 minutes

    Intense thunder and lightning and heavy rainfall rates here on Staten Island now.

    Out til 7 tonight delivering mail. There's not enough water on Earth to keep me hydrated.

    Boxing Day is going to be my number 1 for a long time. The jackpot for that one went right over Staten Island. Ended up with 30 inches.
