  1. I think I remember that one! That was the one where even though we live like 10 minutes from each other it started absolutely ripping at my house and you were still Debbie downing it because it hadn’t started there yet, then bang it snowed at about 2” an hour for 5 hours. That was awesome. I remember a big gust of wind that accompanied the start of the snow…it knocked over my front porch chairs. Man that storm was sweet.
  2. Conversely, I remember many, many, MANY times where the GFS was being stubborn until the very end and we were all rooting for it to be right only to see it quickly cave to the Euro on a run at the very end. I’d still want the Euro to be on our side.
  3. Surface temps never even get close to going above freezing so it’s definitely all frozen.
  4. Lol...no, if you look at the Kutchera snow total at 72 hours you’ll see what I mean. I missed it cranking up some more on hours 75 and 78.
  5. LOL! I saw the snow pull out at 72 hours and thought that was it. I missed a little more in hours 75 and 78.
  6. Damn NAM. Has 8” in NW Franklin County, and 2” in southern Franklin County. As always, we sit on the fence.
  7. Well, we do have an American model in the NAM.
  8. Well, if we’re going to have a model on our side, I’m glad it’s the Euro!
  9. The initial low goes all the way up to southern Indiana, which surges warm air in our area and we literally get no snow. Awful run.
  10. I think I remember reading several posts saying that it did. I know the op GFS had the heaviest snow too far north. It had us in the jackpot area until a day away.
  11. I was already there yesterday afternoon. This is all too common for us.
  12. Well good news is it wasn’t worse than 12Z.
  13. 18Z GFS is another ice storm for my area. UGH!
  14. The good news is very VERY rarely do those icestorm model solutions ever verify in our area. And the GEM is actually nice. The temps just absolutely crash while heavy qpf is still around and we get a nice thumping.
  15. It's not really a terrible track, it's just seems to be pulling in a bit more warm air this run.
  16. Another bump north on the 12Z GFS. We're now in the icestorm portion of the storm with plenty of time for further trends north. As I said yesterday, I've seen this story a million times.
  17. 0Z Gfs pretty much aligns with the 18Z run. The heavy snow line goes right over Franklin county then dry slots quickly. Lots to figure out still.
  18. 18Z GFS with a move north. I’ve seen this movie before, I know how it ends.
