How much snow did you have on the ground? Only snow I saw was in the air here at work...my wife said there was the slightest hint of some coverage on our mulch at home.
LR GFS today has MLB opening day (March 28th) starting off with temps in the 20s statewide. Going to need to bundle up as my wife and I head to South Philly that day. It's one of the coldest mornings on the entire run.
I would "think" that your yard will take off this week - several consecutive days of warm sunshine should start the process. I mowed last Friday...to be transparent, only about half the yard truly needed it. When I left for work today, everything was very green but not much growth again...yet.
Currently it's 66 at home.
My house is sorta protected from W/NW component winds...when they veer south, that's when I really notice it. When we get random tropical storms, I'm heading for the basement.
You need to get out of Harrisburg if you hate wind...I have no idea how accurate this is, but I just found this online that supposedly is current:
I don't think (?) I've had anything even close to 40mph yet.
Pretty impressive how accurate that is - I'm at the office this afternoon and got a nice dousing of rain. That cell to the west of Oxford soaked me. It did end with flakes mixed in.
Finished with 1.47" of rain, .02" since midnight. My overnight low was 43, currently it's mostly sunny, windy, and 45. Very warm out front away from the wind and in the sun. A little chilly out back in the shade and wind.
Might be one of those big discrepancies between us over the next 24 hours. CTP doesn't have me getting below 40 overnight with mid 40s tomorrow. In fact, I might not see a sub-freezing temp here over the next few nights.
