  1. Speaking of which, CTP has a graphic on their home screen with the "Heat Risk" index for Central PA from today through next Tuesday. There is Minor, Moderate, Major and Extreme. Extreme is for HI at or above 110 I believe - most of the LSV surrounding the river are in the Major Category on Friday and Saturday and Extreme for Sunday, meaning that they expect the HI to reach 110.
  2. Thank you! I find it interesting that September's record high is higher than June's.
  3. 72 was my low. As MU predicted we had a slight drop in dews last evening (about 5-6 degrees) that allowed for more cooling than I thought we'd have.
  4. I wouldn't make this prediction, but there's a "path" for this to last into midweek. Monday is the big question mark - at least in our area, 90s seem all but certain through Sunday. Now the Tuesday-Wednesday timeframe next week is looking like 90s are quite possible. If we somehow pull off a 90 on Monday, by the middle of next week we would be at double digit consecutive days.
  5. LNS had significant rain late last week. I had nothing. Ground here is receptive to maximum heating. Huge difference in yards between most of Lanco and where I'm at. My yard is whimpering.
  6. My apologies, I was wrong. I clearly underestimated the microclimate in your area.
  7. So far, a shaky high of 93 at home. (92.7) Temp is currently 91.4.
  8. CTP has been all over the place - now they have me getting to 88 tomorrow and just 91 on Thursday. This morning it was 92/95 respectively. MDT has reached at least 92 already today. It's 90 in Bradford.
  9. I take that back...the storms in western PA are moving to the WEST.
  10. It won't even drop to 73 overnight. I read last rites to my yard over the weekend - it's toast. No measurable rain here in...well, it's been a long time. 94-95 sounds about right. LNS did hit 90. Tomorrow looks good here, could be a stretch to hit 90 over your way. Thursday is seemingly a lock here.
  11. That storm, and the storms to the west are pulsing but moving nowhere. They're just sitting in place. Broiling sun and 92 now here.
  12. MU has reached 90 officially today. Also their 3rd such day this year, even though they didn't make it yesterday.
  13. Christine Ferreira is all in: Christine Ferreira @ChristineWGAL Get ready for 8 consecutive 90 degree days. This will be the second longest #heatwave we've ever had in June! #PAwx
  14. And there it is - 90.0 at home. Day #2 for the heatwave, day #3 for the season.
  15. I don't think your "start of the heatwave in most places tomorrow" prediction is going to hold up...
  16. A lot of low 80s readings at 9am. Also, temps were raised a good 3-4 degrees for tomorrow.
