  1. 0.65" of rain. Very nice. Leaving in the morning for 2 weeks in Florida. Bucket list trip including the Overseas Highway. Back at the end of the month.
  2. Just read on MU's X account that parts of Cumberland County are over 2" for today so far.
  3. Temp down to 77 at home with 0.12" of rain. It's better than nothing.
  4. @MUweather Isolated showers and storms may essentially occur anytime between ~12-7 PM. I think coverage will definitely be greater than the 3k NAM or HRRR models suggest, but the cold front will already be S/E of the LSV this afternoon. A few brief downpours are the main threat..
  5. Nothing measurable in Maytown. Disappointing.
  6. Big storm here at work. Glad I stayed for the electric show. A ground dampening at home that did not register in the gauge.
  7. Looks like between 2-4" of rain has already fallen just north of Lancaster with a lot more to come. Not a drop at home.
  8. Yep, and on August 12th it's more tolerable (to me at least) than a month earlier when it doesn't seem like there's an end in sight...
  9. First time in nearly a week that my glasses fogged up walking outside this morning. In August, I call that a win.
  10. 84/66 at 12:45pm. Dews are up about 10 degrees since last evening. Starting to feel more uncomfortable but nothing like what we went through in July.
  11. Some records lows were set in PA last week...no?
  12. Wow. Only got to 86 here ever so briefly. Already down to 83.
  13. What an incredibly beautiful weekend. #perfection
  14. I respect that idea, I truly do. For me, it is therapeutic. I honestly feel better and truly love early darkness. It feels very homey and very sentimental. I associate those nights to the holidays and the onset of winter which are both hugely important to me.
  15. Sweat through it indeed. I'm going to be sweating and thinking about how wonderful it will be when it's dark prior to 5pm. Magical time of the year. Just over 3 months away!
  16. That might be a usable excuse except for the fact that my comment was made after walking around campus here at work where it did not rain yesterday. LOL
  17. Maybe it's just me but after a very pleasant morning it feels decidedly more humid outside now. The change over the past several hours felt striking. Edit: Just reviewed the dewpoints over the past 24 hours and it's been between 62 and 64 the entire time. No uptick at all. So...it is just me.
  18. Picked up a shocking .27" of rain yesterday. The tiniest cell popped directly over Maytown and dumped. There was zero rain in any direction outside of town...at least in our general area it literally rained only over about a 2 mile area in circumference.
  19. I will be in Florida from August 17th to the 24th!
  20. Just in - he's concerned about mixing issues southeast of interstate 81 that might hold down accumulations.
  21. I'm surprised that you were able to sneak this post in before Climate Change. He loves to promote cold weather records.
  22. It was 61 at midnight but I only managed to get down to 59.3 from there. Just a splendid weekend. As @Mount Joy Snowmanalluded to, a warmup ensues but nothing that we can't handle after what we've already been through this summer.
  23. @MUweather Due primarily to oppressively warm nights and a slew of days with highs between 89-95F, #July2025 concluded as the 2nd-hottest on record @millersvilleu since 1914. It was also the 10th-wettest on record thanks to a seemingly endless onslaught of slow-moving, drenching T-storms.
  24. I got down to 64 - and 64 never felt so good. 0.42" of rain for me.
  25. 0.22" of rain has fallen in Maytown. Looks like part of the Rt. 30 corridor is closer to 3-4" of rain so far.
