  1. Here, this should help you find your way... https://www.aa.com/en-us/flights-from-philadelphia-to-austin
  2. Well said. I won't argue anything here - 2 things about me: The more invested that I am in a sports team, and I'm probably more invested in PSU than any professional team including the Orioles...the more cautious I am. My 3 favorite sports teams (PSU football, Orioles, 76ers) haven't won anything since 1986. I'm used to being let down. I do not trust James Franklin. There will be at LEAST one game this year where Nittany Nation will be in an uproar over a loss that shouldn't have happened and it will point back directly at James. Book it. Also- remember the home opener in 2018 against App State? PSU entered that year with national title aspirations after losing in that memorable Rose Bowl shootout with SC the previous winter. PSU was extremely fortunate to walk out of the Beav with a W. App State had us on the ropes and McSorley bailed us out in the final minute of regulation. That was the closest I've ever come to seeing them lose in person. Like the guy below said...you never know what's coming in the first game. I really don't want to have a mental image of his trousers...
  3. Kinda agree with you - I could see PSU making the expanded playoffs this year but just as easily see this team lose at least 4 games. (WVU, Ohio State, Washington, USC) There are a couple of others that won't be easy, either.
  4. Don't you go pestering the fine folk of the Penn Manor School District. Stay in your lane, you filthy Black Knight!
  5. Have fun at Mountaineer Field. Personally...I'm worried about that game right off the bat.
  6. I've always viewed September as a very dry month - without this data I would have assumed that it was probably one of the 3 driest months of the year. If you take the 32 years above and average it out you get about 5.13"/year. Just by removing the top 4 years which were obviously heavily influenced by tropical rains, that monthly average drops 1"/month for the remaining 28 years. I don't know what our average monthly precip is - I'm sure it's easily available. 11 of the 32 years above had monthly totals of about 2.5" or less with 7 years seeing less than 2". Interesting data, thanks for sharing. September has to be one of if not the most volatile months when it comes to precip. Really depends on what happens with tropical storms.
  7. Current temp is 58 - coolest it's been at this time all week. #clearskiesradiationalcooling
  8. We picked the perfect year to go to Mammoth - they might only get 200" or so this entire winter.
  9. Please understand, I am NOT arguing. And further, this isn't directed at you, I'm replying to you since you're the one who happens to be talking. It's easy to say "something should be this, or that, or somewhere else"...and you just alluded to my point as well. When you stop and think about it, so many locations have their own variations of microclimates...MDT doesn't get cold enough at nights. CXY gets too hot during the day. THV gets too cold on certain nights...I think it's easy to say "MDT isn't the best place" - I would agree with that. But...if not there, then where? By the way, even though KITT is only 2/10 of a mile from me, they got down to 52.5 this morning, which is nearly 3 degrees lower than me. They sit in a big, open field...that'll do it.
  10. If it wasn't for the people in this thread I would never have a clue what was happening at MDT. Is there a more viable spot for those that care? It seems like CXY runs too high during warmer days. MDT is too high at night.
  11. He gave up 9 earned runs in his first 3 appearances. He couldn't possibly be worse. The Phillies absolutely fleeced us.
  12. Just saw your post - FWIW, my lowest temp overnight/this morning was 55.3 - so right in line with the reading at MDT. As the Snowman said, it was just too cloudy.
  13. Another very "disappointing" low of 55 here in Maytown. Never got below the mid 50s this week after a few forecast lows in the upper 40s.
  14. The only thing worse than the Phillies bullpen is the Orioles bullpen. What a train wreck.
  15. Tonight potentially will be clearer, longer. We had hours of cloud cover last evening that prohibited much of a drop, at least over this way.
  16. I mean, at the end of the day it's a public forum and he's got a "right" to post as he chooses. It just doesn't feel right when he only chooses to post what many would say is contrary to the rest of the thread members. But he's incredibly smart and what he posts isn't wrong.
  17. I think someone in here mentioned the Phillies bullpen as being their weakness back on Opening Day... And I said that while they still had Soto and Dominguez!
  18. Oh yes, completely understood. I knew as much before he posted it...I just find it "interesting" that even in the midst of a BN spell, he's ready to pounce and squelch any type of BN temp momentum". Gotta keep it on the up and up. And by that I mean the air temp. LOL
  19. 1. A spot in Garrett County MD got down to 29.6 last night! (must be a localized version of Peter Sinks) 2. TCC is refuting cold in the MA thread...
