  1. Probably one of the worst dry fields played on in a long time.
  2. I'm probably the only one stupid enough to do this, but I enjoy it so I keep doing it. Long ago I tired of the 95>64>168/158 nightmare getting to OBX. About 10 years ago I added more time but subtracted tons of stress by taking Delaware 1>113>13 across the CBBT into Va. Beach and then down 168/158 to OBX. That drive on 13 through the Delmarva is so much more relaxing than than the 95/64 mess.
  3. Our rainfall outlook been reduced yet again - now down to the lowest shading of QPF possible:
  4. You have a bigger yard in midtown than most people do.
  5. Can the subforum snatch a snowy winter from the jaws of La Nina? The countdown begins now.
  6. Uhh... Nah. I'm not touching that. But...MU said that he expects dry weather through October minus any tropical activity.
  7. It is amazing how much drier WPC has gone in just 24 hours: This represents a HUGE reduction in QPF for all of PA, but especially so over the southern 3rd of the state.
  8. We have been watering every day now for the past 2 weeks. We had gone away for several days, came back and our flowers were dead and the veggies weren't much better.
  9. Negligible - a matter of a few feet. The airport station is actually a few feet higher.
  10. You'll probably appreciate this nugget of weather..."oddity" - yesterday, the airpark on Donegal Springs Road dropped to 49.1 for the low, which was 4.7 degrees higher than my 44.4 reading. We are separated by 2/10ths of a mile, and on clear, calm cool mornings the airpark typically runs 1-3 degrees lower than me. And yet yesterday...they were nearly 5 full degrees warmer. Huh.
  11. Marquee matchup tonight: 2 pitchers with a combined record of 1-13 with ERAs either side of 7.00. O's better be ready to score runs. Maybe a lot of runs.
  12. Much bigger turnaround over here - 44 this morning, 75 currently.
  13. Miami once again owns the state it seems. I want UCF to rise up again!
  14. Please understand that my reading this morning in no way affected my decision to leave the house in my short sleeve polo without any sort of jacket. Still a long way to go for that nonsense.
  15. Very surprised to see these readings - somehow Maytown made it down to 44 this morning.
  16. Out back grilling and the weather is perfect. 72, sun and a breeze on 9/2. Gorgeous Labor Day!
  17. Indeed, this week is shaping up to be one of the finest first weeks of September in years. It's gorgeous out there.
  18. You're not wrong. I have records kept from 1976 to today - there are a healthy number of lows in the 30s in my hood from late August and the following weeks. Snow fell as early as the first 2 weeks of October on 2 occasions. (Including a World Series snow in Baltimore on October 9th, 1979) Imagine it snowing in Baltimore that early today. We all freaked out when it snowed here 3 weeks later for the Halloween snow. And it really didn't feel that special at the time. September has definitely become more of a summer month over time, at least that's my opinion. Now April, on the other hand...
