  1. What a spectacular morning to step outside! Schedule today is gonna prevent me from getting a nice river trail walk in though.
  2. Euro is only wrong when showing a January coastal bomb 6 days out. We're going to be baking again...
  3. Gorgeous here in Pittsburgh. Ready to watch Russ Wilson pick apart the Steelers tomorrow.
  4. No idea...did you get any rain overnight? I had a storm sometime around 2:00am that left about .3" in my bucket.
  5. Same for me...though I think solely based from memory that I had stronger sustained winds from Isabel. Actually, from records at LNS Lancaster had sustained winds of 36mph with gusts to 51mph from Sandy. Isabel saw sustained winds of 38mph with peak gust to 52mph. Very similar events locally. (both events had gusts in the 60-70mph range in other areas of the county)
  6. I look at the forecast for Thursday through Sunday and smile broadly...that is all.
  7. Seems that the slower forward motion is potentially allowing Dorian to get picked up by a trough and thus the significant move poleward. Then again if it moves too much slower it might be a swing and a miss wide right....
  8. Went to OBX this summer instead of Rehoboth...first year in my life I haven't vacationed there. Great, compact place with a ton of great places to eat from fine dining to pizza joints. If you're staying downtown you can park your car upon arrival and let it sit until you go home.
  9. Looks like there will be just enough oomph to the front tomorrow that Saturday could be a pretty stellar day as well.
  10. Same. I'll be celebrating birthday #54 on the 7th at Beaver Stadium and would like some football weather. For some reason it was decided that Buffalo was a marquee matchup and they moved kickoff to 7:30pm...
  11. Not really sure what happened to the cool air for the upcoming weekend, a lot of forecasts that I'm seeing for Lancaster are for temps in the mid 80s both Saturday and Sunday.
  12. That's still about 3 degrees too warm. We have a lot of east and south facing windows with full solar exposure. Granted, today it might not be so bad but on a sunny, 60 degree day my home would easily be in the mid 70s unless I closed all the curtains/blinds.
  13. I don't know either. From memory there was a rainy day back in the mid 1980s that was only in the mid 60s. No idea if that was the record, but I'd think the record can't be much lower than that.
  14. I'm hoping I can turn off the Air and open some windows in time for Thanksgiving. :)
  15. Today looks much more likely (to me) that we don't hit 70 than this coming Sunday...
  16. What a sensational weekend in August! Enjoy everyone.
  17. The guy from Millersville that shall not be named called this morning's rain way back on Monday... There's even a chance that a wave of low pressure will develop along the front--if so, this would slow the eastward movement and, thus, extend the chance of some rain into Friday.
  18. The grill is stoked and the meat is sizzling...it ain't ready yet but we're licking our chops in anticipation...
  19. We can't wait for you to get back to our area. As such, we're looking at heat indexes at or above 100 on Monday to welcome you!
  20. Thunderstorm Lucy provided a lot of lightning, some thunder, and...zero rain last night. Not a drop. Looked for hours like it was going to be a direct hit and when it literally hit the river...poof.
