  1. Pretty darn nice day today! A little unexpected but with a decent amount of sun I'm already up to 65. It's beautiful out!
  2. There has been a long running misunderstanding regarding Lancaster's observations and recordings. CTP uses airport terminals for a lot of it's measurements (MDT is Harrisburg's "official" station) but in Lancaster, my understanding is that the official records are kept at MU and not at the Lancaster airport. MU recorded 2.06" which is what i went with. There was quite a west/east gradient in our home turf yesterday with eastern locales barely eclipsing 1" while areas out west here approached 3" and a bit above. Edit: I fully disclose that I might not understand the official recording areas correctly at all.
  3. 2.42" here. @pasnownut Lancaster finished at 2.06". So close...:)
  4. Reading the Philly thread...looks like a big busto over that way.
  5. I read Lancaster's report incorrectly earlier...at 6pm they are at 1.89".
  6. When I saw Lancaster's number I began to question my ability to read! I'm JUST under 2" with moderate rain.
  7. At 5:00pm Lancaster officially was at .62" storm total - they might not have a hard time cracking 1".
  8. Time to play catch up over this way - it is hammering.
  9. @Cashtown_Coop It looks like you might be picking up in intensity again shortly?
  10. Heavy rain down at the southern border of VA near Petersburg is blossoming and expanding due north. If that maintains it's trajectory, areas east of the Susky have a long evening ahead of them. That's a big fat IF...
  11. There is almost no easterly movement in the overall shield right now - remarkable.
  12. Chambersburg area north through Harrisburg and then due north from there.
  13. Much of the 81 corridor is under a flood advisory now.
  14. There is a growing area of heavy rain in central VA that is aimed at our area (will miss those that have had heavy rain already wide right) so we'll see...
  15. WPC has been consistently focusing on that area for the past couple of days. I agree with everything you said.
  16. Had some sprinkles earlier but they have stopped. Current temp is 68 on the nose.
  17. I'm with you...I'm enjoying the heck out of this. Now, if it would only rain.
  18. The band is SLOWLY moving east down in VA, but it has actually retreated (contracted most likely) westward north of the M/D on the past few scans. Right now the main band is about 30 miles west of me, and it's not expected to fully reach me for at least another 3 hours. Also, it's 65.4 degrees here.
  19. Man, the radar presentation looks very similar to Lee. Obviously not even close to the same magnitude, but the orientation and width of the fire hose is similar.
  20. 22" is almost exactly what I had here. I saw water in places I never saw it before or since.
  21. You got that right. It has the feel of a big rain producer...
