  1. It's been raining pretty decent over this way the past 2 hours but I'm still shy of .25". I didn't see any snow last evening or today.
  2. Blizz, all I will say about next week's threat is I think it's better when we have cold air pressing in rather than retreating. I do believe this could potentially trend a little better still...
  3. We have EXACTLY the same seasonal total so far but got to it much differently as my biggest single event was 5.1" with a good bit more than that just to my southwest.
  4. I had just rain last evening. Right now I'm mostly cloudy and 37.
  5. So...Greenville SC had snow today while I rain? Come on February!
  6. Not a fan of the big L sitting over the Great Lakes, either.
  7. Well as Brian (daxx) can tell you I am NOT a huge severe weather guy. I do enjoy a good storm at the beach though...and last year we had the mother of severe storms in KDH. There were reports the following day that we had winds over 80 mph. All I know is my daughter came running in our rental home from the top deck and was screaming that the adirondack chairs up there had become projectiles. I recovered them on the street after the storm passed.
  8. BTW, it's snowing in parts of the Carolinas today outside of the mountains. If it can snow that far south in this pattern...just sayin'...
  9. One of the most inspiring speeches I've ever heard, the late Jim Valvano said "Don't give up...don't ever give up." Winter's not over...let's bring this home.
  10. New thread, new mojo. I started one with success a couple of winters ago, can we repeat history?
  11. I wouldn't have agreed with you if you said that 24 hours ago. Last night I had an employee event for the Barnstormers and it was nice sitting in the skybox looking out over the field. I'm getting that itch. But I still want snow!
  12. Very respected poster on this entire forum (Don Sutherland) posted his updated thoughts for February this morning. His thoughts covered the entire general mid-Atlantic area. Among his thoughts are that we'll likely experience above to perhaps much above normal temperatures and below to perhaps much below normal snowfall. Those are his thoughts and they are for the entire month. This was posted in the NYC forum.
  13. I'm stunned that you haven't seen the ongoing conversation between him and Hoffman. For it seems like weeks they've been debating snowfall averages, means, medians, bad winters, really bad winters, really really bad winters, etc. And Hoffman patiently keeps on engaging him. (most of this has been occurring in their banter thread)
  14. daxx needs to take that revolutionary war reenactor dude with him...I think that guy is desperate...
  15. Right now beggars can't be choosy...if I had the opportunity I'd be hitching a ride in Brian's trunk and enjoying every last little bit of "fake" snow I could.
  16. That's what I'm seeing as well. Any LE next week for you with the cold front?
  17. Do you see any chance with the southern stream staying beneath us in the 2/7 - 2/8 time frame?
  18. That screams cold and dry...end of February blizzard as the pattern relaxes? I have a feeling that 75% of east coast weenies are dying a slow death of depression and giving up on this winter. Would not surprise me at all if we get shellacked as the season winds down...
  19. Looks like whatever cool down we get mid to late week is temporary and we flip back to AN within a couple of days. You can almost follow the ridging in that graphic.
  20. And CTP stated on Twitter this morning that today's low temp will be the coldest for at least the next 7 days.
  21. It's telling that you'd post that on the night it was still an AN departure...normal low for today at MDT is 23.
  22. Agreed...I think we should easily top 60 on at least one day. Euro has been steadfast for days now that the southern areas get up in the 64-66 range.
