Interesting couple of days regarding temps - yesterday's projected high was 58, I got up to 68.2 for the high. Yesterday, today was supposed to be in the low to mid 60s. At 9:30am I was sitting at 44 with a fresh breeze out of the NE. If that continues we can kiss the 60s adios for today...

...and his exit velocity was higher last night than it has been all season!

This past weekend was a quick reality check for the O's and also a firm answer to the question "Why Not?" Just a shame they played well on the road and then laid a biscuit back home.

We have season passes. My wife and I don't ride a whole lot but we enjoy walking, people watching and the entertainment. We typically go for 3-4 hours at a time. It's nice having passes as we don't feel the need to cram things in on any given trip. We usually go about 10 times a year. 66 here already. AC is on.

Just got home from opening day at Hersheypark. A gorgeous 65 right now. Perfect day!

Well...I was in agreement with you when you said that this morning. I thought we were getting an all-day rain when in reality nothing happened at all until 12:30pm. I was also surprised that we had a solid hour of sleet - it started when it was 46 but it quickly fell to 39 within the first 10 minutes of the onset. Actually, I can't remember the last time we had a solid hour of sleet here!

Why not? You mentioned Memorial Stadium yesterday - man do I ever miss that place. Sounds like we were probably at a lot of the same games back in the day. I got my license in '81 and promptly got a mini-season plan the following year. From 1982 to 1996 I routinely went to about 30 games a year despite living up here, 75 miles away. Then came marriage and soon thereafter the kids and over the past 20+ years it's been more like a few games a season. Anyway, I was at so many memorable games on 33rd Street including the final game in '91. And yes...I was a grown man who was bawling when it was over. The Orioles are far and away my favorite sports team and they always have been. My hope is that the rebuild is complete sooner than later but I'm skeptical. If you want small victories just pop into the Yankees thread and see how they're in full-blown meltdown mode all because they're off to a 1-2 start.

For a moment today I thought I was on Front Street in Harrisburg...we came across a large tree that was down across the trail. By the way, time must be slipping past me even faster in my old age. I stumbled into the Yankees thread earlier and discovered that their season is over. I could have swore they only played 3 games but what do I know?
