  1. This is not the typical setup...these storms won't weaken with the loss of heating, unfortunately.
  2. E. Horst, MU WIC@MUweather A couple of cells in northern MD look worrisome...moving into soYork soon...then Lanco in a hour or so. Lower-level rotation will be hard to detect with radar issues (poor low coverage) here. #stayaware
  3. First line of warned storms will be through in the next hour or two. Then it appears there will be a break before the squall line hits after midnight. Maybe you sneak in between them? TOR warning up the M/D line now below York county. Way too close for my comfort.
  4. Hopefully things work out for you and you make it back tonight. Doesn't look like the actual squall line reaches the Susquehanna river until around 3am.
  5. @Blizzard of 93 I think everyone east of the Mississippi is focused on tonight's severe threat and yet you've found snow. Well done!
  6. @canderson Following you and other's posts in the severe thread, what an awful situation down there. Best wishes to all of you...
  7. That timing for a Sunday evening arrival at BWI might be a tad interesting...
  8. Stay safe my friend. They were talking about the severe outbreak for down there earlier today on the Weatherless Channel. Looks like we get our first legit shot of storms here Sunday PM.
  9. @AllWeather Congratulations Matt on earning the AMS seal of approval! :)
  10. Interesting couple of days regarding temps - yesterday's projected high was 58, I got up to 68.2 for the high. Yesterday, today was supposed to be in the low to mid 60s. At 9:30am I was sitting at 44 with a fresh breeze out of the NE. If that continues we can kiss the 60s adios for today...
  11. ...and his exit velocity was higher last night than it has been all season!
  12. This past weekend was a quick reality check for the O's and also a firm answer to the question "Why Not?" Just a shame they played well on the road and then laid a biscuit back home.
  13. Nice! Remember, if you drive down this way the day before your full day you can spend 2.5 hours in the park free that night with your paid ticket for the following day.
  14. Today has the feel of one of those times when we bust way high. Wouldn't be surprised to see some locations reach 82-84.
  15. Peaked at 68 today due to the cloud cover. Tomorrow looks like the type of day that many of us make a legit run at the 80 degree mark...
  16. We have season passes. My wife and I don't ride a whole lot but we enjoy walking, people watching and the entertainment. We typically go for 3-4 hours at a time. It's nice having passes as we don't feel the need to cram things in on any given trip. We usually go about 10 times a year. 66 here already. AC is on.
  17. Just got home from opening day at Hersheypark. A gorgeous 65 right now. Perfect day!
  18. You should be off to the races shortly. 70 is within reach if we get several hours of full sun.
  19. Sun came out here around 9:15. Temp was 41 at the time, now sitting at 50.
  20. Seems like much of the frozen was east of the river...at least in the southern half of Pa.
  21. Well...I was in agreement with you when you said that this morning. I thought we were getting an all-day rain when in reality nothing happened at all until 12:30pm. I was also surprised that we had a solid hour of sleet - it started when it was 46 but it quickly fell to 39 within the first 10 minutes of the onset. Actually, I can't remember the last time we had a solid hour of sleet here!
