  1. This thing is getting so strong that it's offsetting the anticipated weakening to come.
  2. The good thing is...people are actually leaving. Helene was horrible. Might be one of the few storms that the results were worse than anticipated. It's hard to comprehend from our area just how devastating things are to our south. Bright (extremely relatively speaking) side in it? Because of how graphically bad as Helene was/is, maybe that has/will influence more people to take action going forward. I have to wonder if the mass exodus is in part due to how ominous Milton has become, and also in part to how fresh the catastrophe that Helene was.
  3. This bust of a hurricane season is quickly becoming less...busty.
  4. The only play I've seen this morning from the 2nd half was the TD pass. Nothing else. I did see it happened on 4th down.
  5. One thing to watch - will it make landfall on the Yucatan Peninsula? That could not only weaken it but also disrupt the core (storm is small in overall size) to the point that it has a hard time regaining it's mojo. Going to be a very close call today with that. Milt's motion is still a bit SE of E.
  6. Nice win last night, Cowboys fans. Exciting ending that I missed. Dak was clutch when it mattered most.
  7. Just .03" of rain overnight. Current temp is 59. Some fog on my way to work as well.
  8. Apparently he's smarter than those who make these determinations for a living.
  9. I thought that didn't need to be explained. I mean, if we had 45" of rain through the end of June and not a drop thereafter, all talk would be about the epic drought ongoing...but we would be AN for the year.
  10. Made it to 80.3! That's a 34 degree swing today. With the SW breeze going in advance of tonight's front it's a much milder evening than yesterday. Currently 71.
  11. I sure do love my Nittany Lions. Not sure they're #4 in the nation though.
  12. 77 yesterday afternoon, 46 this morning. Impressive, especially without the benefit of a frontal passage.
  13. Great thing about this time of year - 6:20pm and it's already down to 66.
  14. High today was 77. Going to be a great evening for a campfire.
  15. Nope, Bubbler did indeed post it in our thread yesterday. In fact, it's on the same page as the one that I posted from Accu Chris.
  16. Oh, I'm sorry. I missed it. I have not been on much at all this week. I should have looked.
  17. Saw a model output in the tropical thread depicting 2 feet of rainfall in south-central Florida next week: Edit: it was a GFS output posted by our very own @AccuChris
  18. Thank you for mentioning this. I thought the entire pendulum shifted right back to KC after that pitch. We had them on their heels, that is the time to go into attack mode. Sure, at 2-0 it has to be a perfect (hitter's) pitch to swing at...and it was. My entire disposition changed when he took that pitch. I went from feeling very hopeful to feeling like we just left them off the hook. He had to swing there. Had to.
  19. I'll be looking for you in the fan pit on Fox Big Noon Kickoff. I want to see you right behind Urban...
  20. My grass might be longer than it's ever been before. That will be rectified later today.
