Looks like the end is in sight now...band is starting scoot east instead of northeast. Should be out of the steady rain in the next hour or so. Maybe. I hope.

As much as I love snow, I am beginning to think Key West will be a nice place to retire in about 9 years.

Looks like this afternoon is shaping up to be another soaker. We can use it...not much has fallen now for about 16 hours.

Maybe true...they post restaurant inspections in the Lancaster Sunday paper which I read on a regular basis. I don't remember the last one for Shady Maple though. I have a personal story regarding driving home from dinner there years ago which I probably shouldn't share in this forum.

Ha! A lot of people swear by dinner at Shady Maple, but I have to tell you that there's something even better... Breakfast at Shady Maple. :) I seldom go for dinner any longer...the quality and value of their breakfast is off the charts good.

Finished with 2.7" for the weekend. I was just talking to Brian (daxx) and he recorded about 3.5" in east York.

There's an interesting discussion ongoing in the mid-Atlantic severe thread concerning the general ignorance of the populous when it comes to watches and warnings that are issued and what each means. This is something that personally drives me crazy. A few weeks ago there was a storm entering Lanco from the southwest that was TOR warned - we had the radio on and after the warning alarm and the announcement ended the on-air personality followed up by telling listeners that there wasn't anything to be worried about at that time, "it's only a warning, not a watch." How does a warning not sound more ominous than a watch does? Not to mention, a watch typically covers hundreds of square miles, a warning is for a much more specific area.

Looks like the threat is increasing for heavy rainfall this weekend. Yuck.

That sucks, we're season pass holders and are hoping to get a few hours in on either Saturday or Sunday.
