  1. Thanks for posting that - I saw that picture earlier today and couldn't find it to post.
  2. I've been following it all day. Seeing a lot of reports of unprecedented damage across Iowa...some areas are apparently look like a war zone. This is almost entirely from straight line winds, though there have been/are a few tornado warnings.
  3. Incredible, scary derecho plowing through the midwest today and it's bearing down on Chicagoland now. Many reports of winds > 100 mph today in Iowa and Illinois already and it's maintaining it's strength as it approaches the "Windy City"
  4. I hate the Phillies with every bone in my body, so I can guarantee they'll beat up on the O's.
  5. I am a HUGE Penn State football fan, I live and die with them and give the Orioles a run for my favorite sports team, period. I was already down on football this fall because what makes Penn State special was already going to be missing - 106,572 fans tailgating and cheering like none other. Even Kirk Herbstreit has gone on record as saying that a PSU football home game cannot be duplicated anywhere else in the country, which I'm sure went over really well in Columbus. Having football in an empty or nearly empty Beaver Stadium would have been depressing. Just can it altogether I say. Back to the weather - 93 here now. Forecast high was 92. Here we go again...
  6. @Bubbler86 Appreciate the temp map, it is fascinating to look at some of the town to town variations. BTW, there is a 94 in Lanco almost directly over where I work...
  7. Yes sir, could be very soggy here in a few days. Might be an interesting month for rainfall totals with me already sitting well over 7" to date.
  8. You would sort of think it would be hotter where the weather has been drier...apparently not.
  9. I'm 3 ahead of you, lol. Already 91.2 here. Lancaster is at 90 so I'm pretty sure my sensor is accurate.
  10. In addition to the heat, CTP is mentioning a few days of heavy showers later in the week. Could be some real hydrology issues in areas that are already water-logged.
  11. Davis was having a great spring before the Covid shutdown. He was squaring up pitches he should have pulled and was taking everything on the outer half of the plate to left. It was really good to see. You almost knew that once things started back up, any momentum and confidence he had would disappear. Sadly, it did.
  12. My point and click is 87-89 for the entire week, so given how the temps usually run several degrees higher, low to perhaps mid 90s sounds about right.
  13. I know it's not specific to our thread, but as a weather enthusiast I find this stuff fascinating - Wilmington DE officially recorded 1.03" of rain in 5 minutes last evening. That...is incredible. The local NWS office said that amount of rain in that amount of time "happens less than once in 1000 years."
  14. I was stunned at how cool it was after the deluge yesterday. I went out and didn't realize we had dropped to 66!
  15. Checking the Philly thread out - report of 6.1" of rain... ...in 35 minutes.
  16. My total is 1.54" but most of that came hours ago. The past few hours was just to my south. As in a few miles.
  17. Phone notification for life-threatening flood emergency for our area. It's barely raining here now but a few miles to my south there are road closures right along the Rt 30 corridor in Lanco.
  18. I'm already over 1" and very heavy rain continues. It just keeps reforming between Marietta and Elizabethtown.
