  1. After 24 hours of dry weather, precipitation has returned!
  2. Believe it or not, I just had a brief, light rain shower. Wasn't expecting it...
  3. 63 here with a forecast high of 58. End of March sun for the win!
  4. It was the perfect temperature here for walking on the river trail this afternoon.
  5. Some sunshine would do the soul some good about now.
  6. My temperature dropped after my 2:40pm update. I'm down to 52 with dense overcast and mist. 54 is my high so far...
  7. Lots of thunder out this way for the past 3 hours.
  8. Rain has started here again - already nearing 1" for the day. If that large cluster in SWPA makes it here we're going to be near 2" before all is said and done.
  9. I can tell that story and my wife wishes we were grandparents.
  10. I've got so much rain right now it's coming in my windows.
  11. Same here...and it's dumping. I've had more rain in the past 90 minutes than I had all week collectively.
  12. We don't often have a temperature near 20 at noontime during January snowstorms... Wait - we often don't have January snowstorms.
  13. The airmass in '82 was probably a once in a 100 years arctic invasion. Maybe 500 years. That was my point in a previous conversation we had earlier in the winter - when is it 21 degrees at high noon on April 6th around these parts?
  14. Currently at .55 for the day, now up to .89 for the week. Had a real nice downpour move through about 30 minutes ago.
  15. 3rd consecutive underperforming rain event... Last week the European model depicted between 3-4" of rain this week. I've made it past the .5" threshold now.
  16. Correct. My county was just added to the stay at home order though I don't see much different in the verbiage than from what was already in place.
  17. Lancaster will finish the January through March period as the 2nd warmest on record, trailing only the abysmal 1998 winter.
  18. @canderson I'm just getting caught up this morning - my best wishes to your family and the young lady that is infected. I'm reading a lot of horror stories about young, healthy people either dying or getting extremely ill from this virus. With every passing day I'm becoming increasingly concerned as it's only getting worse now and will continue to get worse for at least a few more weeks...
  19. I was thinking about that this morning - these past 2 systems really trended south in the final days leading into them. Couldn't buy that trend all winter.
  20. If these first 2 systems this week would have been snow events this place would be ugly right now. What was expected to be between 1.5 - 2" of rain here resulted in just under .4"
  21. It is...but we can no longer say that snow is the only underperformer in regards to precip. Monday's rain event left about half of what was modeled 48 hours out and today's event looks to be similar if not even a little less than half. Sunday's Euro depiction for rainfall in our area is in serious trouble unless it really ramps up this weekend. I'm convinced the only thing we do consistently well is overachieve on high temps. We got that down pat.
  22. Especially now, walking is good for the body, mind and soul. Add in a chicken sandwich and all is well. Relatively.
