  1. Wind Advisory expires at 6pm, so hopefully not much longer.
  2. About 10 minutes before round #1 hit I had a guy on my roof measuring for a replacement - I hollered up and told him he better get wrapped up soon because I didn't want to see him land down on the next block...
  3. That was very impressive here...near zero visibility with heavy rain and strong winds. It was very reminiscent of a snow squall...without the snow.
  4. No offense Blizz - but I couldn't agree with Steve more with this. All of my plants and veggies are running a few weeks early and I say let them grow! There's something reassuring about seeing things in bloom right now despite the doom and gloom all around us.
  5. Meh - we have a cooler pattern upcoming for sure, but it's not going to be THAT bad. During our "cold snap" last week, as soon as the sun came out it felt really good despite the temperature being only around 50. A 50 degree day in mid April feels nothing like a 50 degree day in January... Now when it's raining and 50 - that might be a little depressing.
  6. I've already missed 2 games in Baltimore. I miss baseball like crazy.
  7. The ONLY good thing about snow at this point would be the novelty of it - "hey, do you remember back in 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic when it actually snowed on April 16th?" Like you said, it's spring. It's my least favorite season of the year by far being the cold weather guy that I am, but snow holds no appeal in the middle of April. I'm counting down the days to the solstice and the slow descent back towards winter...
  8. Regardless of precip type, I'm in for a major noreaster. Even those have been hard to come by recently.
  9. I hate seeing this - sending prayer to you and your extended family.
  10. It's different but we're making it work, and I'm feeding 6. We (wife and I) have been in exactly 1 store over the past 3 weeks. We're getting everything delivered. Perfect? No. Suitable given the conditions? Yes.
  11. Hey, thank you both! That is interesting information to study and tells a clearer story than just a single number...much appreciated!
  12. Lancaster county is BLOWING up...371 confirmed cases, 200 more than York and 253 more than Dauphin.
  13. We have reservations for the Outer Banks in mid June and I've pretty much written that off from happening.
  14. After I posted I saw on WGAL that nearly half of Lanco's cases are in retirement and nursing homes.
  15. What is Cumberland county doing that Lancaster isn't? I remember when Cumberland had 12 confirmed cases and Lancaster was at 2... Today, Lancaster is at 232 and Cumberland is at 45.
  16. Getting some gusty sprinkles from the beast now. Some really awesome (though scary) footage from along the NE coast today.
  17. Yep, you were complaining the whole time. I'm just having fun - a lot of scary stuff going on and joking around isn't really appropriate in a lot of situations but I thought this was the perfect spot for some humor. That said - you and @Voyager and @pawatch were on the outside looking in for a lot of storms that nailed us down here so complaining was completely justifiable.
  18. I swear, I cringe every day during the severe season when I see the cloud deck thinning/eroding before lunchtime. Most days it's inevitable but I'll root like anything to hold it off as long as possible.
  19. Yeah, not sure about that. I guess we're entering the season when we'll find out soon enough...
  20. Yep - lovin' me some good easterly fetch...temp is down to 46 and it's raw out.
