  1. I've been up for 10 hours and have seen about 30 minutes of actual precipitation so far today. Roads, driveways and sidewalks are dry here as I wait for the slug of moisture to my west to arrive here.
  2. Dreary for sure but very little rain has/is falling around here.
  3. Yes, and I also wonder if the spike in new statewide cases the past few days plays into that as well. The number of daily deaths has come down (I believe) but new confirmed cases have gone up.
  4. Also, I can't believe that there are people who are/were seriously considering swallowing/injecting disinfectant to cure Covid-19. Jonathan Martin ✔@jmartNYT MORE THAN 100 PEOPLE called Maryland's emergency hotline asking about whether injecting or ingesting disinfectants could help cure Covid-19, according to Gov. LARRY HOGAN'S comms director @riccimike
  5. Admittedly, I'm weird. I love (no, really I do) cold, wet, damp days. However, I'm longing for the sun. It doesn't have to be warm (I don't like it warm) but at least give me some sun and a temperature in the 50s and I'll run with that.
  6. Scheduled my new roof installation for this morning, April 23rd. I could not have foreseen these guys up on my roof with sleet falling...
  7. More than anything else...I'm ready for a stretch of days with no wind. It has been nearly relentless.
  8. I understand where you're coming from, but there are indications that it will be an above average summer temperature wise.
  9. Bingo. It's like mother nature completely reversed months on us.
  10. @Blizzard of 93 Here is the ultimate kick in the groin... E. Horst, MUWIC@MUweather After a winter w/ little high-latitude blocking, we now have a wintery pattern with a split jet stream and some Greenland blocking. If this was January or February, Pennsylvania would be in for 3 snowstorms in the next 7 days. Instead, we'll get chilly rain on FRI, SUN, TUE.
  11. A lot of wet weather in store for most of us after tomorrow...
  12. 60 and partly sunny. Nice spring day, albeit cooler than the long-term average.
  13. Would I have posted observations and measurments? Yes - I do that pretty much every time it rains. I made more posts earlier this week around the heavy rain/storm potential than I have in a long time. Did I really want it to snow? NO. And I''m not in the least bit jealous of those that got it.
  14. That is a beautiful picture...almost makes me miss the white stuff. Almost.
  15. Congrats to everyone getting snow. Normally I would be at least somewhat jealous but I have been done with snow for some time now. Having said that, I'd love to see some pictures early in the morning before it all vaporizes.
  16. Per my comment a few years back in my "Day In the Life of Central PA Weather" thread, I swear it snows at your place from June through the following May.
  17. I briefly considered turning off my AC last evening before I went to bed...very happy that I didn't. It was still a pleasant 60 in my house this morning. :)
  18. I agree with this and what some others have said - unfortunately, a lot of the discussion in other subs surrounding Covid-19 gets political pretty quickly, and then the party affiliation bashing begins. I'm so glad that hasn't happened in here.
  19. That makes me so angry - give directive on what to do while not doing it yourselves. Horrible.
  20. My wife and I talked about this last night. No way we go in June for the same reasons. I was ready for some Candymonium myself...
  21. Great story and updates this morning! I had a few flurries that lasted all of about 30 seconds. Sun is back out here now.
