  1. I thought the winds would be stronger as well - having said that, just returned from a walk on the river trail. Heard a large crack followed by a huge tree that came down 50' from me. You might have crossed my mind at that point...
  2. Drove by a large stone truck parking lot on my way to the office - near zero visibility from blowing dust. I slowed down anticipating ice from snow blowing, melting, and refreezing. Came out on the other side, car thermometer was reading 77, and I knew I was daydreaming...
  3. Yep - things look good for some re-intensification, but this year, storms have weakened when projected to get stronger, and storms have strengthened when forecast to weaken. It's just a cluster called 2020.
  4. Strange day yesterday in the life of Delta. After an almost historic RI process that saw it become a strong cat 4 and had most forecasts suggesting it would be the next cat 5, significant weakening began immediately and right now it's a cat 2. That's some good news for Cancun who is being battered by Delta currently. Let's hope Delta doesn't intensify too much once back out over water.
  5. I'm planning the same thing. Timing of this would be perfect!
  6. Picked up .08" of rain overnight. Not much, but a little reinforcement as we go into an extended dry stretch.
  7. Today is the essence of fall. What a beautiful day to be outside!
  8. I wasn't even going to make the comment that I did last night as this is a weather board and I'd rather not dabble in something so raw and passionate as politics are right now... But I did...and so this will be my final comment - Last night was not a debate. It shouldn't be dignified as such and certainly should not be compared to any other debate prior to it. I would expect more from a child's behavior (seriously) than what I witnessed last night. "Interruptions" is one thing, blatantly and continuously refusing to play by the rules is something else. The moderator is being blamed why? Because he couldn't control a situation where clearly control wasn't desired nor was any attempt to allow control given. Politics has long been associated with blaming others but now we're blaming a 3rd party because the person in the highest office of our nation couldn't be contained? Something seems wrong with that premise to me. This isn't even a political post. This is a simply a "be a decent human being" post. It's a crying shame that our leader (his opponent wasn't much better) can't be decent person. And I do hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow.
  9. I just spent 90 minutes of my life that I will never get back watching a clown show. All I have to show for it is a massive headache.
  10. Radar also looks much more impressive back in true central PA compared to earlier this afternoon. Looks like a good sleeping night ahead with the rain falling.
  11. I think the line of showers has advanced about 10 miles to the east over the past 5 hours. At this rate, it will reach the river Thursday.
  12. Had a few sprinkles around noon, but back to some peeks of sun now. It's a muggy 79 here.
  13. Yesterday was arguably one of the more humid days of 2020. As soon as I would walk outside, my glasses would fog over completely. This morning seems a tad drier but still damp and muggy with dews in the mid 60s.
  14. Never thought they'd win 25 games. Beyond that, they played a lot of competitive games that they ended up losing. Been a fan since 1976 and other than the Why Not season this was one of the biggest surprise seasons in a positive way.
  15. After a great day in Annapolis, came home late last night to rain. I was shocked. It's still raining.
  16. Grey, drizzly day here in Annapolis. Drove through a few downpours on 83 early this morning. It's also very humid here.
  17. Yes... Mount Holly works just fine for me during rain events, but I often seem to be just out of range during snowstorms. Lancaster proper seems to be the cutoff for effectiveness in the winter.
  18. Woke up to the sound of rain on the windows. I'd call it moderate. .12" in the bucket so far.
  19. Interesting info - I just came in and the sky here is almost perfectly clear.
  20. I don't know...unless either the trajectory of rain changes or the current areas of rain expands further back west, I don't see how what's on radar now gets all that close to me. That's just based on what is showing on radar currently.
  21. The guy I really miss is Heavy Wx...that guy could get me excited like no one else... Thing is, I never understood anything he said. It just sounded really, really good.
