  1. Interesting that both the RGEM and now the GFS align the heaviest snows from the Lehigh Valley into New Jersey. Areas to my west get less. Not sure what to make of that...I guess better coastal development?
  2. There are more left leaning members than before. However, isn't this the time we start giving more weight to the OP run?
  3. It's not just you. I went outside after they posted and it's virtually dead calm here. Edit: It just arrived!
  4. Yeah, that might be as good as we can get, and it might end up being the most realistic as well. Seems to match up pretty well to a lot of red tagger's thinking.
  5. Finished with .7" here. Had accumulation on all surfaces except the roads. Season total now squared up at 1"!
  6. And, we remember and criticize freely when they're wrong, but don't acknowledge and appreciate the times (which is more often than not) they are right. Hey, I work for a large food manufacturer...the only times when we hear from customers is when we got it wrong...
  7. I come in here because what happens here first usually affects me next. There are so many great posters in this area...my goodness, I have learned so much over the years just stopping in and quietly reading. And yet, some of the very best posters from this area no longer post...and it's no wonder why. Why people want to cower behind a keyboard and post stupidity is such a shame. And it affects perceptions towards the whole bunch.
  8. At our age, shoveling that much snow might lead to some physical...detriment.
  9. Up to .5" for the day. Snow flakes have gotten smaller in size now. Still 33 degrees.
  10. Yes it is. It has been fairly consistent on having a much smaller areal coverage of heavy snows, relative to some of the other models.
  11. I'm not celebrating anything other than the excitement of having something to track. I have the same concerns that you do, and they won't be alleviated until the snow is falling and piling. We've missed on too many "can't miss" storms in the past.
  12. Eh, it's your basic Lancaster county snowfall map. Not sure why calling accumulations for our area is so difficult - I mean, going by that map, it's your clear-cut 2" - 17" snowstorm across the county.
  13. Should be in a great spot this time around as well. Love hearing your reports and measurements!
  14. Welcome! Not too far down the road below you - 14 miles or so.
  15. This is sort of how I feel about some in the NYC thread...they've been absolutely mauled many times in recent memory. I remember a storm a couple of years ago where they only got about 18"...models had them getting 24"-30". The meltdowns over 18" (I got 0") was mind=boggling to me.
  16. I don't "follow" him, but I read his posts all the time. Tremendous amount of respect for him. He's honking loudly for the 15/81 corridor.
