  1. I'm down to about 25% snow... I'm over 6", so a couple inches of sleet and then hopefully a few/several more inches of snow and I'm approaching 1' total.
  2. Yes, agreed. And we have enough now that with a few hours of sleet, we're going to have a white landscape for some time. It's a 50/50 mix now.
  3. This band will be exiting stage north shortly and once we lose these insane rates...we're probably playing table tennis.
  4. You know, every storm has surprises, and every storm is unique. I'm still at least 90% snow which is something that doesn't happen very often. Typically, it's a quick transition once sleet starts mixing in. Snow is hanging really tough - and the rates are incredible!
  5. Snow/Sleet mixture. I doubt it will flip back to all snow until later as it's ripping...so it's not because of rates.
  6. I'm sorry he's doing this. It doesn't speak well for us. We have a good group of people and this doesn't speak well for all of us.
  7. Why are you not posting in our thread? I invited you to post in your own area last year and you ignored me. No better way to wear out a welcome (that never came) is to post in a a thread that's getting a fraction of the snow you will be. Don't be a troll. These are good people down here.
  8. The rates picked up and the sleet disappeared. I'm going out to measure now. Visibility is about as low as it gets. It's a nuke job right now.
  9. First pings of the day have commenced in the historic district. I'd say 80/20 in favor of snow. (snow has gotten clumpy)
  10. You got that right! It is piling up very quickly. We're going to have a glacier tomorrow. Hoping that the glacier is a deep one.
  11. I was going to post that and make a comment - in all seriousness, when was the last time that a changeover didn't happen sooner, or end up farther north, than anticipated? I remember so many storms that were only to mix south of the turnpike that ended up near IPT. I'm NOT suggesting that will happen this time, but I have to believe that the idea of my first 2 points has some merit.
  12. It's been pouring snow here for some time now, and flake size is fluctuating between large and small flakes constantly.
  13. I can't accurately measure visibility but I'm approaching heavy snow. It's cranking now.
  14. Sleet line currently extends from Northeast Maryland SW through Baltimore City and on SW through the northern DC burbs. It's made a significant jog north in the past hour.
