  2. Hopefully the next run brings the goods in a big way. I've had distant thunder for nearly an hour now and yet the sky looks almost exactly like it did an hour ago. Guessing flood advisories for you soon.
  3. Looks like it's going to slide JUST south of me. I might have to wait for the line following it.
  4. Finally hit 90. Doubt I'll get much higher...I can already hear thunder from the warned storm in York county.
  5. Think of the money you're saving on gassing up the John Deere! Hopefully you and Cashtown get a good soaking.
  6. Well, we got a nice line forming to our west and a big 'ole cell just popped over Adams...let's see what the next several hours brings.

  8. I have a high dew (71) but a lower temp (85) which gives me a HI of 90. We have some work to do to reach advisory criteria. In other news - I was reading some comments in LNP this morning from a met at CTP. He mentioned that temps have been running 5-10 degrees above normal, but that the heat isn't abnormal. If the temps are running well above normal...wouldn't that be abnormal?
  9. Very bad. Well, welcome back to the soup kitchen. My dews are back up into the 70s. Feels oppressive here.
  10. True that! We got the goods several minutes ago. Nice quick .28" in the bucket.
  11. Feast or famine...hopefully more can join in at the table today and/or tomorrow.
  12. I forget if @MAG5035 lives north or south of Altoona, but flood advisories are up for south of town...
  13. Looks like it might be raining soon in Rouzerville? Up to 96 on the button here in the historic district. Dew is 63.
  14. @Bubbler86 riding the edge of a slight risk of excessive rainfall tomorrow. #rouzervillerains
  15. I didn't either. I've been in Hanover once, and that was 37 years ago. Went camping at Codorus the summer after I graduated.
  16. Dews have really come down this afternoon. My current split is 98/61. I can recall a few nights where temps stayed at or above 80 but over 55 years it's happened rarely. (I believe in each case my low was no higher than 81)
  17. When the wind direction and speed is just right I can smell that from here in Historic Maytown. That's probably a couple of days/year kind of phenomena.
