  1. Looks like a very heavy band is getting ready to come up into Lanco out of NE MD shortly. Rain here was heavy but is down to moderate now. I might have been too conservative, as @Superstorm said it's hauling and might be gone in a few hours!
  2. Heavy rain continues. I waited to pass the 2" mark before posting. 2.02" storm total thus far. 4.48" since Saturday.
  3. Not specific to our area, but a stronger cyclone might prove that the European and Ukie models might have been on to something when they've been modeling wind gust in the 80-95 mph range at the Jersey shore and Long Island. Many thought those estimates were far too high...I guess we'll see soon enough.
  4. I would guess that as long as the center of circulation goes east of us, probably not much difference. If it goes further west all bets are off.
  5. If anyone is following this storm in the dedicated tropical thread...it's deepening quickly. Now up to 85 mph and still some time for further strengthening.
  6. Just a little over a month shy of the 8 year anniversary of Tropical Storm Lee - dropped 15.25" of rain here. Will never forget it.
  7. .32" here after a big-time tropical downpour. Hoping for 3.54" to get me to 6" since Saturday.
  8. Hoping I can get into the CCB action tomorrow. Should be some good ratios with that.
  9. It's not truly a winter vibe until @Wmsptwx stops in and asks you 6 times if you think significant snow will make it into his 'hood. Then, and only then...is it winter.
  10. I was just shy of 2.5" on Saturday night and needed to make it up. Sorry it came at your expense.
  11. LNS is 2.53" below normal YTD, so this event has an excellent shot of getting us AN rainfall for the year. Hard to believe...
  12. Some of the those cells approaching from the south were showing some decent rotation in the past hour or two as well.
  13. How about that? 89 here as well...though it's still 89 and perhaps one final push to 90 is still possible here.
  14. And yet somehow in that setup the FV3 would depict 2' of snow. Anyway...I see Tropical Storm Warnings have now been extended all the way up to the M/D line. It's fun to have something to talk about other than 97 with a 30% chance of an isolated (not over Rouzerville) thunderstorm.
  15. No way. Storm track, being an inland runner is far too west for at least paweather and me not to have significant mixing issues. Bubbler might be far enough west to hold off most of the taint, but WAA aloft waits for no man...
  16. Those of us in the southern tier can see the outer edge of the system in the southern sky this morning.
