This is all sound analysis and reasoning. I know this is location sensitive, but some of us will lose QPF to sleet and freezing rain as well. Not all of the precip depicted is snow down here.
6-12" is my bar. If I get to 6, rest is gravy. Only that I know for certain - I have no control over what I or anyone else gets. Trends aren't good but that isn't surprising really.
Bottom line - still not the time to make definitive statements either way. Lots of moving parts. Tomorrow will bring surprises...where and how will be a nowcast.
Horst hasn't posted a new map, but sort of dropped places like my area and nutsville from 12-18" down to 6-12" Says he feels that the heavy totals are aimed for the Lehigh Valley. Did say areas near the turnpike could see a foot.
Thank you. I respect you as one of the finest gentlemen on here.
I went into the mid-Atlantic thread the other night and told them what a great thread we have with a bunch of amazing people. All I ask for is that we respect each other. Plain and simple. I started a big thing when all I was trying to do was keep things above the line. I speak up to defend people when I feel they aren't being treated well and I will not stop doing so. I guess that's why my career is in HR.
Carry on. I'm finished with this and ready to move forward.
Back in 2000 there was a Miller B that was modeled and forecast to give me 24"+ up until 8 hours before gametime. I ended up with partly cloudy skies. It was an incredible bust. It happens even when every model says it won't.
