  1. Perfection! Glorious midday walk along the river. Makes working from home oh so enjoyable...
  2. Hopefully we get another round later this week. I'm at 1.08" now with drizzle.
  3. Up to .94"...thinking I will eclipse the 1" mark with additional bands of showers moving up out of MD.
  4. I was a negative Mike last evening. Standing by my .5-1" call.
  5. This was my fear last evening- it seems like the northern edge/advancement keeps getting eroded by drier air. I thought the radar looked okay a little while ago but the concentrated area hasn't made much progress out of central MD...yet.
  6. Well...CTP is going with 2-3" for us. Really hope they are right!
  7. Better to be south than north - with that big high up north I'm not convinced that areas north and west of HBG see much at all. I'm wondering if I see more than .5 - 1"
  8. I thought the winds would be stronger as well - having said that, just returned from a walk on the river trail. Heard a large crack followed by a huge tree that came down 50' from me. You might have crossed my mind at that point...
  9. Drove by a large stone truck parking lot on my way to the office - near zero visibility from blowing dust. I slowed down anticipating ice from snow blowing, melting, and refreezing. Came out on the other side, car thermometer was reading 77, and I knew I was daydreaming...
  10. Yep - things look good for some re-intensification, but this year, storms have weakened when projected to get stronger, and storms have strengthened when forecast to weaken. It's just a cluster called 2020.
  11. Strange day yesterday in the life of Delta. After an almost historic RI process that saw it become a strong cat 4 and had most forecasts suggesting it would be the next cat 5, significant weakening began immediately and right now it's a cat 2. That's some good news for Cancun who is being battered by Delta currently. Let's hope Delta doesn't intensify too much once back out over water.
  12. I'm planning the same thing. Timing of this would be perfect!
  13. Picked up .08" of rain overnight. Not much, but a little reinforcement as we go into an extended dry stretch.
  14. Today is the essence of fall. What a beautiful day to be outside!
  15. I wasn't even going to make the comment that I did last night as this is a weather board and I'd rather not dabble in something so raw and passionate as politics are right now... But I did...and so this will be my final comment - Last night was not a debate. It shouldn't be dignified as such and certainly should not be compared to any other debate prior to it. I would expect more from a child's behavior (seriously) than what I witnessed last night. "Interruptions" is one thing, blatantly and continuously refusing to play by the rules is something else. The moderator is being blamed why? Because he couldn't control a situation where clearly control wasn't desired nor was any attempt to allow control given. Politics has long been associated with blaming others but now we're blaming a 3rd party because the person in the highest office of our nation couldn't be contained? Something seems wrong with that premise to me. This isn't even a political post. This is a simply a "be a decent human being" post. It's a crying shame that our leader (his opponent wasn't much better) can't be decent person. And I do hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow.
  16. I just spent 90 minutes of my life that I will never get back watching a clown show. All I have to show for it is a massive headache.
  17. Radar also looks much more impressive back in true central PA compared to earlier this afternoon. Looks like a good sleeping night ahead with the rain falling.
  18. I think the line of showers has advanced about 10 miles to the east over the past 5 hours. At this rate, it will reach the river Thursday.
