  1. Time to find some extended family...fast. If they aren't around, make new ones or something.
  2. My wife and I have been watering about 1.5 hours every day since early May. That's normal. What hasn't been normal is that this year we've had to do so virtually every day with so little rain falling. And that time is just watering our veggies and flowers. We've already had a nice yield of peppers, eggplant, romaine lettuce, a few different varieties of tomatoes, raspberries, strawberries and blueberries.
  3. Maybe I don't understand or know how to read observations - from what I can see, the airport in West Ocean City has received 1.84" of rain today. Are those ridiculous amounts farther south over Assateague Island?
  4. I wish I would have known this was you... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yBumahNA9g
  5. Current temp is 81. That's nice. Dew point is still at 68. (I see it's down to 64 now at MDT) That's not quite as nice. It's definitely more uncomfortable today than I was expecting. Which means...I need to adjust expectations.
  6. That map is humbling. I was JUST inside the goods. Another mile or two south and I would have had totals like you.
  7. Honestly...I was embarrassed to share my total. One, it's hard to do so when so many others got so little. Two, I had no idea. The first cell moved through and dropped .10". At that point I was in a 4 hour meeting last evening and assumed we didn't get anything additional since I heard nothing from my wife. I got home at midnight, looked at the monitor, and promptly passed out.
  8. A rain that persisted for "several hours" according to my wife last evening dropped 1.21". My phone app for my station isn't working and I rely on her for reports. Needless to say...I was more than shocked when I got home last night.
  9. I'm actually very close ( ) to the Donegal Springs marker NE of town. The KITT runway is shown on that map. Those pretty colors sort of did a jig (and a jog) to the west of me. The amount of time within the pretty colors was extremely short as well as that thing was hauling on through. With the cell moving with a NW component, you can see that NW of town would have been in the pretty colors for a much longer period of time.
  10. The radar looked great...honestly, I thought "this is it...here comes a very nice rain" and it literally went north and south of me with just a very light rain here. I'm now at .54" for July.
  11. No...that area almost completely split me perfectly. Watch the radar loop and you'll see the line break in 2 just before entering town. I just got to .10" today...and I thought you got between .50" and 1" last week? Or the week before? Sometime? LOL
  12. And again, it's that Ephrata - Akron - Lititz - Manheim corridor. They have been winning a lot lately. Still nothing other than the 43.6 seconds of drops from earlier here.
  13. Still a lot of activity/energy to roll through later - line starting to form that could threaten most of the area in the next few hours... https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/?parms=CCX-N0B-1-24-100-usa-rad Our window of opportunity wasn't even supposed to really start until about this time and last into the late evening hours.
  14. 99.9% of the LSV is dry right now. A miniscule cell just popped directly over my house. Huge rain drops. Maybe my luck is turning?
  15. For those interested- MU is really harping on X an outbreak of severe weather this afternoon and evening.
