  1. Many of you are gong to be ripping at a 2"/hour clip tomorrow evening while Nut, Superstorm and myself play ping pong.
  2. Ukie is Lanco's biggest fears...and probably correct to some extent. Glad that Maytown is in the NW part of the county.
  3. @HorstWeather Update: No major changes. 18"+ is likely in some central PA counties. However, I expect some sleet/ice will hold totals down to 6 - 12" in Lanc city. Higher amounts possible in NorLanco...lesser near MD border. Many forecasters ignoring low-end scenarios & snow climatology.
  4. That is an interesting depiction. I'm not sure that I often snow with a low pressure sitting that location. Interesting!
  5. I had just finished watching when I saw this post. You are correct!
  6. Speaking of dry slots, remember during the 2016 blizzard how that dry slot was racing N-NW out of eastern and central MD right towards us? (Lanco) The dry slot literally reached the M/D line JUST as the pivot took over and saved us. There were areas in NE MD that saw 12" less than we did all because they got dry slotted. On the HRRR, it gets VERY close tomorrow evening.
  7. I've been informing management at work since Saturday to expect 6-10" including a significant amount of ice. Admittedly, I was concerned that I was undershooting this until last evening. I feel pretty good about my call right now - even though they've been pushing back and saying that they're hearing that we're getting over 2'.
  8. You are correct. However, the trend north and the band of heaviest snow has moved notably north as well. His concern at this point is valid. (still think his area is in a really good spot)
  9. The sharp drop off line is getting to close for comfort for the southern tier. Hope it doesn't move any farther north.
  10. Yes, you're correct. I confused the GFS for the Euro. NAM and Euro have had the heavier snows farther west.
  11. Interesting that both the RGEM and now the GFS align the heaviest snows from the Lehigh Valley into New Jersey. Areas to my west get less. Not sure what to make of that...I guess better coastal development?
  12. There are more left leaning members than before. However, isn't this the time we start giving more weight to the OP run?
  13. It's not just you. I went outside after they posted and it's virtually dead calm here. Edit: It just arrived!
  14. Yeah, that might be as good as we can get, and it might end up being the most realistic as well. Seems to match up pretty well to a lot of red tagger's thinking.
  15. Finished with .7" here. Had accumulation on all surfaces except the roads. Season total now squared up at 1"!
  16. And, we remember and criticize freely when they're wrong, but don't acknowledge and appreciate the times (which is more often than not) they are right. Hey, I work for a large food manufacturer...the only times when we hear from customers is when we got it wrong...
  17. I come in here because what happens here first usually affects me next. There are so many great posters in this area...my goodness, I have learned so much over the years just stopping in and quietly reading. And yet, some of the very best posters from this area no longer post...and it's no wonder why. Why people want to cower behind a keyboard and post stupidity is such a shame. And it affects perceptions towards the whole bunch.
  18. At our age, shoveling that much snow might lead to some physical...detriment.
  19. Up to .5" for the day. Snow flakes have gotten smaller in size now. Still 33 degrees.
  20. Yes it is. It has been fairly consistent on having a much smaller areal coverage of heavy snows, relative to some of the other models.
