I'm sure I mentioned this before, but my parents used to live in Alaska. Were married there, in fact. My dad served in the Army at Fort Richardson, where temps would often fall to -40 in the winter. Perhaps that is where my love of cold weather comes from. It is a beautiful state, especially as soon as you get outside of Anchorage proper. My favorite areas are up near Denali and also further south towards Seward. In fact, Seward might be my favorite town I've ever visited. Standing along the water, breathing in the salt air while being surrounded by snow-capped mountains is REALLY cool..

We have 8 more weeks until the amount of daylight starts to decrease...

Last week, (the day we had snow showers/flurries) my house had gotten down to 58 - my wife gave me "the look" and like a good, dutiful husband...I turned the heat back on. I knew it was the right thing to do - but you're right, once the heat goes off, it's hard for me to turn it back on. I suspect that won't happen again until November. Maybe.

I reached 86.2 but have since backed down to 84.7...we'll see what happens.

86 at 2:30 - impressive. Would have had a legit run at 90 with more sun early in the day.

Yep, first day it's truly had that "summer vibe" outside.

Even with mostly cloudy skies, temps are rising quickly - 74 here at 10:30am. We get full sun...look out.

Feeling MUCH better today. Yesterday was not fun. Totally worth it though. Wondering how warm it gets - on the plus side, it's 69 at 9:35am. On the negative side, it's pretty cloudy here now.

It must be a Whole New World out there now.

Having been to WDW a "few" times (about 2 dozen?) most in my family still refer to Spaceship Earth as the "Golfball". Years ago I tried to correct the kids and have them refer to it correctly...I ended up caving (snow term there :)) and joining them. It'll be the Golfball forever to us! Animal Kingdom has always been my favorite park. I'm in the minority that say that, I love how uniquely different it is.

I chose the Pfizer over Moderna because it "seemed" to me that I was reading less side effect reports from Pfizer jabs than Moderna. I guess people react differently to different vaccines. I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow.

Latitude will help with this setup...probably favors Magic Kingdom. AK is a little too far south...

Good luck. I mean, this isn't THAT bad, and wouldn't really be a thing at all if it wasn't for the day I scheduled for myself.

That's kind of what I deserve. LOL. Not sure how i thought it was a good idea to schedule a 14 hour day immediately after getting my 2nd dose when there's plenty of evidence that the 2nd dose can knock you on your arse.

Got my 2nd dose of Pfizer yesterday - definitely feeling the aches today. Only bad thing is, I have to be in the office through this evening to facilitate compliance training. Today, it's definitely training time.

I said it more than once - other than a few crappy days last week, this spring has been glorious. Warm enough to truly enjoy being outdoors without bundling up, cool enough to not worry about getting all hot and sweaty. We've had many days of "just right" temps (for me) and I've loved every one of them. These next 2 days might challenge my thinking, though it's gorgeous outside right now.
