  1. I have no idea at all, but wonder: Did yesterday's system "bomb out" stronger than anticipated, which in turn created a stronger gradient setup today? A strong NW flow combined with late April instability might cause more convection? The radar image you posted earlier had a very...convective look to it.
  2. Bright sun, some cumulus, a ton of wind, and a chilly 42 here as we approach noon.
  3. Next week might be sneaky warm midweek - definitely think at least low 80s are in play, especially Wednesday.
  4. Confirming snow here in the historic district. Temp dropped quickly from 39 to 36 at the onset. Windy as crap, too.
  5. My grass is as green as I've seen it in years. I could mow every 3 days right now the way it's growing...twice a week is enough for me.
  6. Nice little lake effect streamer there. You'll be reporting -SN in the morning. :)
  7. That picture above looks like a very healthy 1". Most people tend to overexaggerate snow totals, that is clearly an inch. Honestly, it looks like more than that...
  8. I think you've assumed the title of the LSV's snow magnet - temp at home had actually ticked back up to 56 when I left for work at 11:30am.
  9. Temp just dropped from 66 to 54 in 8 minutes...impressive front!
  10. Getting my 2nd shot this coming Monday, hoping for the same. I'm teaching a 2 hour class about 3 hours after my shot.
  11. 68.2 at noon here. Sun filtered through a lot of high level cloudiness.
  12. 51 here now - can't wait to get out on the trail later today. Enjoy!
  13. Nice showers rolling through the past 90 minutes. Looks like between .10-.20". Keeping things green and growing!
  14. Yeah...I'm nowhere near ready for hot and humid weather (I never am) but I am getting anxious to get the garden and flower beds cranking and start planting.
  15. What defines a "moderate" frost? Is it less than a certain amount of grass visibility? LOL
  16. It's been an incredible spring by my standards. I've thoroughly enjoyed the AN days as much as the BN days like today. Every day like today is one less potentially hot and humid day!
  17. O's - 1-6 at home, 6-2 on the road.
  18. I was at Hersheypark that day. There was hours of continuous, distant thunder but it never rained. Around 2:30 our son texted me and said how horrible things were in Mount Joy, where he worked at the time. He screenshot an image of my weather station showing 6.11" at home, but the Mt. Joy- Manheim corridor had between 8-11" of rain. @Jns2183 this would be roughly 10-12 miles from Sunday night's event.
  19. 55 and partial sun here in the historic district.
  20. I just finished - I was one of at LEAST 4 in the neighborhood mowing at the same time. I was the only one in a tee shirt and shorts.
  21. Yep - I'm enjoying the pictures being posted very much...before I go out and mow my green grass.
  22. Per the New England obs thread, a few are now reporting 10"+ and counting. Good for them.
