    It started raining down that way about this time yesterday and just kept going. Thing is, it rained hard but from what I could tell, not the real excessive stuff that we sometimes see. It just rained "hard" for hour upon hour.

    One thing of note - my dewpoint is crashing. Down from 70 a couple of hours ago to 61 now.

    85 at noon, lots of clouds up there. Doubt seriously I'll get as high as I did yesterday. (which is fine with me) I was gonna bite and jump in on the vaccination/masking discussion...meh, I better not.

    My strategy was to try and advance to fall as quickly as possible. LOL Talk about sticky, dew is still a sultry 70 here. I knew it would be hot today but was hoping my dew would be more in the lower 60s by this point.

    Had about 45 minutes of thunder here earlier from the York County action, but nothing ventured across the river here.

    Hardly any rain around at all...and yet southern Lanco got hit hard this afternoon. Some areas below Quarryville got a couple of inches. (This is second hand information)

    Again, much like the Orioles, all it takes is a horrific owner to decimate a franchise at almost every level. When I was growing up, Washington was a team that NFL fans had a lot of respect for. Sad to see what Snyder did to that fanbase.

    That almost looks like a map from springtime...96 in Richmond and 61 at Harrisburg? That's one crazy gradient for this time of year.

    That is the great thing about baseball though...any given series a bad team can get hot and string a few wins together, even against a far superior team. The O's have swept a total of 2 series this year. Both on the road. One was at Boston, the other at Houston. Go figure.

    Baseball is back at Rogers Centre! Speaking of Centre, why was the former home of the Caps and Bullets spelled Centre, and not Center?

    Thanks for sharing, troubling story to read. I hope she can recover. Hershey connection to Tampa, Dave Mishkin was the radio voice of the Bears in the mid 1990s through their Cup championship in '97. He left Hershey to become the radio voice of the Lightning, where he remains today. Also of note from yesterday - I just read last evening that the Blue Jays are heading back to Canada! They begin playing up north on their next homestand...final game in Buffalo was Wednesday night.

    Skipjacks and Bears had some legendary games in the 1980s. Those were the glory years of the AHL. I can't talk about your first sentence...to this day, still too painful. I refuse to root for the Ravens.

    High for the day was 79...not sure the last time we failed to reach 80 on a day that was pretty much wall to wall sun.
