  1. @Blizzard of 93 - my 6,000th post HAS to be about snow. Bring this one home next Friday! :)
  2. Strat-o-matic was fun, but I loved playing APBA baseball a whole lot more!
  3. I've despised the Phillies since I was 5 years old. Having said that, as a lifelong diehard fan of baseball and not just the Orioles, I have many fond memories of games at the Vet, and listening to Harry and Richie as a kid was awesome. Those 2 were so much fun to listen to.
  4. My love of baseball started in 1972, and by the 1980s I knew every MLB roster by memory. Some of those years in the mid 80s I saw over 50 games a season between the O's, Phils, and Pirates. I especially loved going to Three Rivers without tickets and getting seats behind the visitors dugout 2 hours before gametime. I was at a Monday night game against the Padres that drew just over 4,000. It was a nice night, too.
  5. Steve "nobody Jeltz" as Chris Berman called him, was so good that he put Lancaster's Tommy Herr on the bench that game.
  6. Extremely underrated defensively. Liability at the plate when he first came up but improved a good bit as time went on.
  7. I have the "special" Billy Ripken card...if you know what I mean.
  8. Great memories for me of bumper to bumper parking in the old Eastern High School lot.
  9. I remember Fenway routinely hosting crowds of 10,000-15,000 when I was growing up. I don't care where you play outside of LA, if you don't win regularly fans will not show up.
  10. Long time O's partial season ticket holder here since the mid 1980s. Last year's team was super fun to watch - I'm concerned we take a step back this year. Hopefully not.
  11. Baltimore Orioles set to welcome O's fans back to Camden Yards! Setting a 25% capacity limit to start the season. Soooooooooooo...how are we going to get 11,000 to show up to see them?
  12. Do I leave the AC running, open the windows... Or both?
  13. If it's going to snow, absolutely! But by mid-March I'm finished with windy, cold, dry days.
  14. Yes sir, I'm really okay with 60 or so right now, yesterday's upper 70s kind of weather can wait until later in April for all I care.
  15. Welcome to what I wasn't seeing 2 weeks ago. Hopefully, we're both out to lunch.
  16. Per your post earlier about temps only rising 5-7 degrees today, I agreed with your sentiment. We were both wrong. After starting at 57, I'm currently sunny and 72!
  17. 57 balmy degrees just shy of 8:00AM. First time I left the house in the morning without any type of jacket or sweatshirt in a long time.
  18. Do they even realize that not only are they excluding others, but they're also turning off some of their own peeps? How many good people have left down there because of the ugliness. And the worst part is - they honestly don't give a damn.
  19. It sickens me that people can no longer disagree respectfully- we have become a society that looks to be offended, and turn around and use that to mock and harass others.
  20. There are some seriously ugly people on this forum. (NOT in this thread) @losetoa6 @Bubbler86 I'm disgusted by what I've been reading...unfortunately, given the people making the comments...I'm also not at all surprised. I'm disappointed in myself for allowing myself to continue reading that crap. Please, please post here...
  21. 76.4 at home - A/C is humming without shutting off much...
  22. New numbers for PA: 19.5% 1st dose 9.1% fully vaccinated Those numbers are significantly higher than the beginning of the week.
  23. Looks like with today's update, PA is now ranked 38th by percentage administered. As Canderson said, we are ramping up...
