  1. Not a drop here. Phillies bullpen...maybe I was right on Opening Day after all?
  2. 2nd line right behind it has broken into 2 smaller lines with the gap between them heading directly for the LSV.
  3. Nope, only pitchers we traded for are Dominguez, Eflin and Rogers.
  4. Orioles going all out to booster their rotation down the stretch by picking up a starting pitcher with a record of 2 wins, 9 losses...
  5. https://www.millersville.edu/weathercenter/forecasts/weather-discussion.php
  6. Sun just came out a short time ago. Should be heading up more quickly now.
  7. Yep, pretty much what I said. And I forgive you for hating on your hometown team. Also - I view you as a very knowledgeable poster. How in the world do you not know Rax Roast Beef?!?!?
  8. I hate clichés but some are relevant - years like the O's had last year when they didn't lose a series after early May are ridiculously rare. What is much more common is for even the best teams to go into slumps. The 1983 World Champs had 2 separate 7 game losing streaks and had 2 losing months in the midst of their great season overall. It's a very long season and slumps happen. And when your (my) team are in a slump it feels like it's much worse than what it really is. The Phillies are loaded with talent but more importantly are loaded with good guys. No way they don't turn this around. Probably sooner than later. The Yankees can and will hit, their issue like many teams is pitching. More than anything else right now, our favorite teams just aren't swinging the bats well. That will change. Wheeler is fine. I'm much more concerned about Ranger. He needs to spot his pitches and if he's dealing with back issues that becomes problematic.
  9. One of my very first dates back in the 1980s was there. She was impressed, I was broke.
  10. Most...not all, but most of us are sleeping at 3am when it's 81 at MDT. Most...not all, but most of us truly care what the temp is during, you know, the hours that we're up...about...doing stuff outdoors. And this July ain't holding a candle to 2020 in terms of daytime heat.
  11. You got me. I give up. You win. At least I'm glad you thought that I was funny.
  12. Hey look - I'm not going to argue against CC. But I will push back when numbers are finessed to fit an agenda. This has been a hot summer locally but it most certainly has NOT been "very impressive" compared to just 4 short years ago.
  13. In July 2020, the temperature at Lancaster (MU) reached 90 or above 23 times that month. In July 2024, the temperature at the same station has reached 90 or above 13 times. We'll tack on #14 tomorrow. This month has NOT been anywhere close to record breaking in terms of heat.
  14. Your relentlessness on this subject is what's really impressive. I'm not so sure that a lot of us are impressed otherwise.
  15. Every trip to the office lunchroom is a trip wrought with peril - freezer cooler stuffed with ice cream and drink cooler stuffed with ice teas. All good tasting, none of it exactly on the fitness program. LOL
  16. A very muggy low of 75 in Maytown this morning. Hoping for some good rains later on (radar looks encouraging in western PA) before the heat arrives. As @Mount Joy Snowman alluded to, at least the next 6 days after today look like highs in the 90s over this way.
  17. Always a good time when you send 10 batters to the dish in one inning and collect exactly 1 base hit.
  18. Orioles and Phillies both mired in slumps. At least you have a cushion. And you have a closer and we have...Kimbrel.
